25.01.2022 Having such a large natural outdoor environment allows for so many opportunities to set up different play areas. Following the children’s discussions about what they did during the term break and going camping- we have set up a camping area complete with our bush kitchen, tent and utilising natural and recycled elements to extend imaginary play and the children’s interests and input into the program. Educators and children are loving this area.

03.01.2022 Jenny is not the only one who loves horses! We recently received some beautiful hobby horses and accessories for our horse interest area from Just Gorgeous Things.

02.01.2022 Celebrating the horses birthday This week we had several visits from Teddy the Shetland pony. We have been learning about horse safety and how to care for a horse. We have engaged in imaginary play and read stories about horses and contributed to discussions about horses. However the best part is the hands on learning with Teddy. Learning outcomes: following our philosophy and the importance of animals in our environment. Learning care, responsibility and empathy. Learning about safety around animals and taking increasing responsibility for our own health and physical wellbeing Links to our community and following the interests of the children and educators.
