21.01.2022 At least 95% of women I have given therapy to have experienced some form of abuse or assault from a man, most as a little girl, teenager or young woman. What I see under hypnosis, is that the feelings with regards to this experience were mostly turned inwards. My female clients report feelings of their own guilt and shame when recalling the traumatic event. Swearing under hypnosis is an excellent way to start placing those emotions where they should be and reversing the subco...nscious script. As with most trauma that happens when we are young, without being made aware or taught any better, turning those feelings inwards can be developmentally expected. This is part of what makes childhood sexual abuse so damaging for the victim, since the child believes the experience is their fault and grows up with this deeply ingrained concept of guilt and self-blame that spills in to so many areas of their lives. It's so important to go back to revisit the thoughts that first arose from trauma and change any negative self-concepts. Which is why I love using RTT Hypnotherapy. May we all raise confident girls and women that can tell any man to "fuck off" and "fuck you" where and when needed, and call them out for their actions rather than ever stay quiet.

11.01.2022 What happens when we emotionally react in neuroscience terms ----------------------------------------------------------- Your Amygdala: Your amygdala senses warnings and threats in your environment and sends out alarm bells. When you are in true danger, enter: the sabre-tooth-tiger, this is a brilliant system because it kicks off a physiological response to the threat before you even have time to logically think about it. So, before you can sit, analyse and assess the situati...on, your amygdala forces your body in to overdrive to get the hell outta there or fight to the bitter end. A potent mix of chemicals flood your brain and body that force you to react in that split second. Exactly what we need to survive. But here's the thing, we are evolutionarily wired to adapt to all sorts of environments. It mightn't be the sabre-tooth-tiger that roams your neck of the woods, but it could be the grizzly bear or a red-bellied black snake (*blimey*). Or now getting a little clever, there could be more subtle threats, threats to your own emotional wellbeing, that your brilliant mind learnt to register. 06.01.2022 RTT is so effective for trauma because it combines hypnosis with an EMDR-type system. Sufferers can safely review painful scenes under hypnosis and be guided to reduce their emotional responses to a functioning level, whilst a personally recorded hypnosis mp3 can instil new, positively-reinforcing ways of thinking about the past event(s) that becomes ingrained and enables a client to move forward with life. Success rates are extremely high, even with the most awful experience...s imaginable. Sometimes however, trauma is so impactful and extensive that people haven't come to a place whereby they can start to review it or get the right therapy. I discovered PTSD Dogs Australia over the weekend and absolutely love what they do! The creatures they train are completely gorgeous! My daughter is obsessed with the supermarket guide dogs (as seen), so I'm hoping to see a PTSD dog alongside in the future check out their amazing organisation x
