10.01.2022 So a little about how these awesome pads became about...When I had my first son I had so much milk I felt like a cow, unlike many ppl with the first born mine was handed around like a picky platter and to be honest I didn't get to do the whole one on one bonding most would do in the first few weeks. These 4 weeks of feeding were horrible I hardly ever fed him always expressed and just gave up. I remember this one time in target I had to feed him and my milk was pissing out ev...erywhere like a sprinkler on speed, that was it I was done. My second boy came along and I was determined to feed him no matter what. I did the whole laying right back to slow the flow anything that would help me stop choking him to death with my copious amounts of milk . But it was the wet pads from all the milk that was letting me down. So it started. I got my mum and her friend involved and we started playing with material. Lucky this kid fed every 3hrs for 15mins as you can imagine I had a lot of pads to try out. Then after months and months of feeling like we weren't getting anywhere we found THE ONE! The ONE that could hold up to 3 days worth of milk, The One who felt awesome on sore boobies after being in the fridge or freezer, The One who was awesome to wipe little bums and private parts, The One who was great to use as a wash in the bath or shower and even better to take make up off, The One....wait for it clean the house with THIS was THE ONE...Its purposes not only kept my milk at bay but helped around the house. Let me tell you the washable breastpad took years to make right. There was times when I wanted to give up especially after I had had my 3rd baby a girl and still tying down loose ends on the pads. But I was determined and the project still lives on. Today my leaky boobs have gone into retirement. But my washable pads are a passion to support woman who want to feed their babies and make woman feel comfortable and supported in this most amazing bonding time.
