23.01.2022 Update on my solar keratosis I have 1 more day of using Efudix on my upper lip. (I do actually have makeup on today so it probably doesn’t look as bad)... Honestly, the whole process hasn’t been as bad as I thought it was going to be. For anyone who suffers cold sores it’s feels like I’ve had a coldsore for 2 weeks. It actually took over 1 week until I saw anything happening- I’m telling myself it was because my skin was in such good condition I ended up applying the cream whilst my skin was damp (I wasn’t supposed to - but is beauty therapists love pushing the boundaries ) just so that it could get in and do its thing ! I have got my calming and healing products ready to go after tonight and have been religiously applying my Invisible Physical Defence EVERY day even if I haven’t been outside. (Zinc based physical sunscreen that also has calmin botanicals in it) Now that we are in Spring and the sun is coming out most days - PLEASE, PLEASE make sure you put your sunscreen and a hat on when you are outside the house. Cover up in the car as well, as the UV can be very intense coming through the car windows. I will now be keeping a close eye on my upper lip and have made my 12month skin check already. When we can get back into the salon we will make sure we keep an eye on your skin for you too I encourage you to get your skin checked if you haven’t done it for a while - it could save your life

23.01.2022 Thought I had better practice what I preach .......... Have you had a skin check lately??? Here’s my story ............ I went and had my skin checked yesterday as I knew there was something not quite right on my top lip. I kept getting a dry flakey patch on my upper lip that would eventually go away but kept coming back - I knew that wasn’t normal - and believe me - I put all the products on it to help heal it My gut feeling was right - I have a solar keratosis on my lip and if left untreated could turn into something more nasty. My youth is coming back to haunt to me!! All those days and hours of sunbaking and applying baby oil and coconut oil to my body so I could get a tan. I used to even pack it in my school bag so I could sun bake at school !! My reasons for sharing this: It doesn’t matter what your age - look after your skin and don’t leave the house without sunscreen on EVERYDAY - Yes even in winter! If you notice any changes or dry patches on your skin - get it checked out ! It literally took less than 20mins and was not invasive at all. I actually got to lay down which was a bonus I will share my journey on treating this as it’s apparently not very pretty ...... stay tuned for some pics Ps. Can you even spot where it is on my upper lip??

05.01.2022 The wait is over!!! We are reopening!!!!! This Thursday is the day ... Things will be a little different as we won’t be able to offer all services right now. We can only offer services where you, the client can leave their mask on. This means we can’t perform facial treatments, LED, lip and chin sugaring or face IPL. However we will be getting creative with offering eye, forehead and neck treatments We are really hoping this won’t last for long as we know you are all hanging out for a good pamper. For anyone who had an appointment in Sept which we cancelled please either call the salon and leave a message or jump onto our waitlist via our free App foreverskinfit and we will endeavour to get through this list as fast as we can.
