Nat Whitcher has offered her time and skills to run a 5 week block but we need to follow all Covid rules! Where: Foster Basketball Stadium... When: Prep to Gr 2 Monday’s starting 9th November for 5 weeks... Gr 3 to Gr 6 Wednesday starting 11th for 5 weeks Time:3:30 to 4:15pm Cost: $2 per session You must: Register with Jade -0408513261 - (child’s name, Grade, parents phone number and if your available to be a parent helper to run the session or help with the Covid sign in and out etc) +Bring your own ball +Bring your water bottle (Children who are not registered or don’t bring their own ball, will not be able to participate)

24.01.2022 We finally have some exciting news to share...we have a President Please join us in welcoming, and thanking, Matt Sherry to the Position. We also would like to thank Jess Foote for taking on the secretary position from Megan Vuillermin. They will be working together to transition the role.... The rest of the committee is Matthew Marriott, Jade Storr, Wendy Bradbury, Clint Staley, Larissa Judd, and Denise Bravington Whilst there is still no news as to when we can resume play, when we finally can take to the court, we will all be in very capable hands. In the meantime, keep shooting hoops
24.01.2022 Due to restrictions, we’ve been waiting for this photo to arrive in order to make this fabulous announcement. At our recent AGM, Trevor Angwin was nominated for and awarded Life Membership of the Foster Basketball Association. Trev has been involved with the FBA for 50 years he reckons!! Certainly he has been a player, ref, coach, scorer, committee member and very active volunteer, not to mention is always court side for his daughters and grandchildren as their biggest supp...orters. Trev is a great role model and awesome person to be around too! Congratulations, you wholeheartedly deserve this recognition Trev and we can’t wait to make more of a fuss at our next grand final, whenever that will be.

Jack White, from playing basketball in Gippsland (Traralgon) to Duke Captain, is set to take the court for Melbourne United in 2020/2021 NBL season. Jack sat down to give us an insight into the life of an elite basketballer in the current climate and give locals some tips on where and how to stay basketball ready in lockdown. Keep an eye out for Jack’s at home challenge which we will post shortly.

15.01.2022 Just to keep our tribe up to date, this, just in from Basketball Victoria... 'Return to Basketball and Current Restrictions While we are heading in the right direction with COVID-19 case numbers and are pleased to see the further easing of restrictions for regional Victoria, unfortunately, indoor sport is still located within the Governments last step. We continue to discuss with Sport and Recreation Victoria and advocate for a clearer path for basketball to return as soon as... possible, when safe to do so'. We will endeavour to keep you up to date...in the meantime, the kids can train outdoors effective 17th September so see if you can find a hoop outdoors, keep the shooting practice up.

11.01.2022 We hope this post finds our basketball families keeping well and staying fit. Following on from our AGM last weekend, we would like to sincerely thank Emmah Welsh for her time and dedication to the role of President over the past year. Due to personal circumstances, Emmah sadly advised that she has had to step away from the Position and the Committee effectively immediately. This means, currently, we are without a President. We are seeking expressions of interest either for a...n Interim or Permanent President. If we are not successful, we will find our association in recess until this situation is rectified...we really don't want that to happen as there are so many exciting things on the horizon, not the least is a new stadium!
