25.01.2022 Crazy weekend ! Apologies for the greater manning valley power outage on the weekend, it was disappointing the Hoofhearted Racing 6Hr became a 3.5hr sprint race. Thank goodness most of you were there Friday - there had to be karts out there that did their six hours of Manning in practice alone ! ... Unfortunately we can’t control the weather and without the ability to run all the lights off generators we were done at sunset unless power was restored in time , which didn’t happen till the wee hours of Sunday morning. Thanks to everyone for their support, racing was on point yet again and it was great to see so many happy faces around the paddock. The timing system runs solely off batteries, so the power outage does not affect the timing of karts, it did affect the broadcast of timing on the internet and of course the television screens, and events like these already have us planning for further backups for future events. Once we go through our normal checks of pit stops and penalties and rule book processes we will publish the final results. Lastly we will take a moment to regroup, and set about planning for the next round to do everything we can to keep you racing. Thank you for social distancing and doing all you could to make the event a safe and although race shortened successful one. 4SKA Team.

The big improvers of the year, it was great to see this champ class team knocking off most of the PRO class teams in qualifying for fourth outright, well done Braiden Gray. This is what the series is about, grab a chassis from a kart shop, throw an engine on and go your hardest. Entries will open for Lithgow in a few weeks, again it'll be first 20 in guaranteed, under the Covid cloud its the only way to sort the order, we will give you plenty of notice this time. 23.01.2022 It’s nice the Bathurst 1000 is on the weekend before Orange ... Always good to get the support categories done and dusted before the main event. The Wildslide Motorsport Orange Six Hour is next !... Round 6 of 7 of the 2020 4SKA Enduro Championship, partly halted by Covid, but strongly supported by all of you ! 19.01.2022 This photo was taken on day one of our 2020 season at Eastern Creek. With all that has gone on in 2020, it's an amazing feeling to be able to say, that this weekend our grid will look just the same. This club is the youngest club that runs race meetings in the state that's affiliated with Karting NSW.... Not so many years ago, four stroke karts were not considered by many in the sport as being legitimate, and to some, they still aren't. We don't really mind what those people think, we've got too many other karts to race against over here. But do you know why this club is successful ? We have amazing people that race here, friends, family, people we care about. We don't pretend to be anything we are not. This club is about everyday people who may only hop in a kart seven or eight times a year. This club is also about some pretty handy racers that participate in motorsport at a high level, who just loving being a part of such a fun, friendly and competitive category. This club is about some of the closest racing you can get. This club is about keeping costs low and continuously trying to improve our game. This is a social club that goes racing. This is a club that has a committee that works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the politics out of your race day and this season in particular has had some pretty huge hurdles to overcome to keep racing. This is club level racing, grass roots - nothing more, nothing less. Lets enjoy the weekend and remember racing is a pretty cool thing to be able to do right now. See you all at Lithgow (Jack Tossell Photo).

18.01.2022 The club would like to publicly thank Peter Archer from ECS Computers for his generous donation of a brand new HP Pro Book Laptop computer for our Pit Lane timing system valued at $1250.00. The new laptop was in use for the first time on the weekend at Lithgow and is an upgrade to our in-house designed Pit Lane Timing system created by guru Mark Turnbull. Peter is a driver for Kart 60, Raging Bulls, once again thank you for your generous support of our non-for-profit associat...ion. The Four Stroke Karting Association of NSW Inc.

18.01.2022 It’s Race Day ! We would like to thank our sponsors for this year, presentations for previous rounds will be sorted this morning !

16.01.2022 Over the years one make series have proven very popular. When we had the opportunity to design this series we decided we wouldn’t allow teams to do anything to the motor. And we wrote the rules as such. Our mantra has always been one type of motor, and to keep it simple. ... Buy a sprint chassis off the shelf, set it up and know the bloke next to you has the same power you do. It all comes down to chassis and setup. Qualifying and Racing yesterday showed just how close this formula is. Results will be published shortly, but this series has become ultra close and ultra competitive and we thank everyone that’s committed to being involved.

16.01.2022 Transponder location and use on Friday. To assist the timing crew, we ask all karts have their timing transponders located preferably immediately behind the nose cone in the centre of the kart, not to one side. Please also have your transponders on your kart on Friday so that we can thoroughly test the system for race day and iron out any bugs. ... Having your transponders on will mean we can test everyone is registering properly so we are not rushed to do so on Saturday morning. We’ve been given feedback the timing loop may not register correctly if located on a side pod as the timing loop at this circuit finishes toward the end of the track surface, clearly we’d like to do some testing Friday on this so it’s not an issue come Saturday. We thank you for your cooperation.

12.01.2022 How bout giving Sheep Dip Weekly Photography a like. Karl is now a regular around the pit lane, and his photography gives a unique and interesting perspective of what is a dynamic sport. Not just photos of karts on track, interesting angles and pictures that give great insight into our weekends.... Well worth a look. (All photos of course from Sheep Dip Weekly Photography).

11.01.2022 To all our racers Tyre orders close 5pm today !To all our racers Tyre orders close 5pm today !

11.01.2022 In all seriousness everyone. Be careful driving to Lithgow tomorrow and use the Live Traffic App to monitor any Blue Mountains road closures. Snow is predicted as low as 700m which is very low. ... Stay safe. And we will see you at the track. Good news is, Sunday Race Day whilst cold will see an improvement in weather conditions.

11.01.2022 Lithgow Practice Saturday 26th of September (Day before our event). This will be an open practice day. Having said that there’s a swarm of Briggs Karts registered to go !!... As we have booked the track the following day we have charged a practice booking fee on a per team basis. For those that have indicated on their race entry they are coming for practice continue to pay us direct. We have arranged for our club to pre-pay all of our practice karts for this particular day directly to combined districts kart club along side our track hire payment. Just makes it easier for everyone. Our club will have a list of our registered paid up practice karts on the Saturday at the track. If you’ve registered additional karts we will contact you for information on kart number etc just so we are organised and ready to go ! So if you’re practicing, and didn’t indicate you were on your race entry get in contact with us by Friday arvo of this week please. Current entry list for the race has us at 27 karts, 84 drivers - the biggest field we’ve had at Lithgow for our club, so once again we appreciate the support for what will be a hectic battle throughout the entire field. Next week is race week ! (Please note, if you are not involved in our race meeting, as it is an open practice day please follow the normal practice book arrangements directly with Combined Districts Kart Club. Our club is only prepaying for Briggs 206 Endurance karts, you’re welcome to bring other karts on the day but these will incur the normal CDKC fees and must be prearranged online with CDKC).

10.01.2022 Hello there old friend .. For our October meeting at Orange the hairpin is back. With the old subaru motor gearing was a pig for this layout .. ... With the Briggs sure there will be some limiter bashing but we’ve proven these little engines live for it. Time to buy some brake pads

09.01.2022 Just a friendly reminder that entries for the Moon raker design and print Lithgow 500 open at 9am tomorrow morning. Entry is via our website: www.4skansw.com.au

09.01.2022 Just a heads up that for this weekends event there will not be canteen facilities on either day so the event is BYO food. Remember it’s a short drive into town for delicious and wholesome junk foods, perfect for between stints for all of us athletes alike. Now for Saturday we have 34 Briggs 206 practice karts - so let’s all be kind to each other, we’d like a few of you to make the race on Sunday. ... Great field of 27 for Sunday, good job all, Endurance Karting is strong whether it be single engine or twin engine at the moment so let’s fly the flag Sunday and make it a ripper event. Ps if anyone’s going into town I’ll have a twenty pack with sweet n sour sauce thanks buddy. K bye.

08.01.2022 Good Morning All. Some important business for the teams race channel ! The following Bulletin will be issued tomorrow.... Pit Stops - no pit stop in first 30 minutes will count. An announcement at 30 minutes race time will be made. There is a new area in the pit lane near the exit loop - it will be marked . Karts found blocking the pit exit will be penalised. Don’t park your kart in the exit ! Fuel Bay - as this is a lap race the fuel bay is closed first 30 minutes and closes again at lap 450 or 3.50pm whichever occurs first No dynamic steering allowed - it’s just another cost - we don’t like cost. Pit transition times are: Drive thru penalty 16 seconds Pit Stop 66 seconds (1 minute 6 seconds) Pit Stop with fuel 126 seconds (2 minutes 6 seconds) See you at the track !

08.01.2022 Official results from last weekends Moon raker design and print Lithgow 500 are now on Speedhive. What a race ! Four karts on the lead lap after 497 laps of time certain (6hrs) racing. 07.01.2022 We’d like to extend the welcome to our teams, their supporters and our officials and invite you all to the Presentation BBQ at the completion of racing at Dubbo on Saturday night. The Presentation will be held at the circuit, and knowing our lot, it’ll be a big party full of stories, most of which you’ve probably heard before but want to hear again ! There will be a BBQ & Salads for all, so eat up ! ... Please BYO Alcohol and drinks. On Saturday night we will crown the winners of both the Outright & Champ Class Championships and of course, the single engine 4SE State Title ! There will also be the annual extra awards, always popular among the winners anyway ! We hope to see everyone there, don’t be shy, hang around and make the evening something to remember. We are a social club that goes racing ! See you all on the weekend.

06.01.2022 With snow predicted for tomorrow the club has decided to enact the Alpine Rule Set Extension (A.R.S.E) for the day. 1. First one out must cable tie snow plough to front nose cone, clear track as good as possible. Preferably someone that understands what a race line is, yes the list is small. 2. If sand (actually it’s Lithgow so rock) traps are iced over please repair tyre walls prior to rejoining the circuit. ... 3. Chair lift to retrieve driver available at $4000 a day with your pre-paid snow-kart pass which gives you access to Orange & Canberra in middle of winter also. Great value, Canberra is hilly. 4. For those smart, the club house will be converted to a bar and you can knock back shots while watching your mates fall over themselves on the track. That’s where I’ll be. 5. No Juniors, there’s nothing worse than being out done by a six year old in the snow, at least they can’t gain access to said club house in point 4. 6. Come prepared, this isn’t a fashion contest, all those woollen garments grandma knitted for you are suddenly in vogue. The address for Lithgow Salvos shop is 101 Main St Lithgow, get in on it. 7. Holding your hands 10cm above a Briggs exhaust is therapeutic for frost bight. 8. Chains are not compulsory but are helpful. No you can’t use chains on your tyres as that would be ludicrous, I’m talking about the one that drives the engine, it’s just a tip for the new players on the scenes. 9. None of this is endorsed by anyone, don’t trust anything you read on Facebook 10. There is no such thing as global warming in Lithgow. Happy Spring Time Racing All. See u Tomozzo.

03.01.2022 Full timing on your device will be available on the weekend. There will be a link and instructions on how to join and this information will be located on the timing screen at the race. We didn't get this up and running at Manning as our resident IT Expert was not at the event so this will be our first go.... For now, it is recommended you use a laptop or tablet as there is a lot of information to squash onto a phone screen. We will endeavour to publish the direct link here on Facebook on Sunday also for all watching at home. Please note, the way this works is a direct URL link, whilst you can still watch the race on Speedhive it will not contain all the pitstop info, the direct URL is the only way to gain access to all the information you desire. 4SKA Too Technical for me committee.

01.01.2022 Sun’s out and we’re racing at Moonraker Design & Print Lithgow 500 You can follow the race on Speedhive. https://speedhive.mylaps.com/Liv/CBHJNRVR-2147483677/Active... The link is also on our website.

01.01.2022 Results are up for the Hoofhearted Manning Valley 280 Lap Sprint Race. Congratulations to Hoofhearted for taking out their signature event, to The Dudleys on second and Seal KartSport on their maiden 4SKA Podium. In CHAMP Class victory went to Piston Broke with Plan A in second and Kwik-E-Kart third.... Thanks again for the support of the series, we’ve aimed to keep you racing and at times that’s been a lot of work, but the atmosphere over the weekend makes all that effort worthwhile. At this point in time everything is looking sweet for Lithgow, but we will hold of opening entries till closer to the event just to be smart about things ! Race report to follow.
