22.01.2022 Pleased to say that we now have an Endeavour Hills resident representing us within the City of Casey Council. Naturally I'm disappointed that its not me. Thanks you to all who supported me through my campaign, the letterbox walkers , Mick, Michelle, George, Maureen and Ruth as well as my beautiful daughter - a no 1 encourager and campaign manager Madeline. To those who supported me financially - thank you. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to achieve a better result. Thank yo...u for your tangible vote of confidence in me - I am humbled by your kindness and generosity. Congratulations to Milla and Rosalie, my hope and prayer is that you both will represent this wonderful community that I love with honor, respect and commitment. Thanks to my family for allowing me to pursue this fanciful dream. Chris

15.01.2022 Made a little ground today with the final votes counted...Was just about to pick up the numbers when Cr Kaplon sent them to me... If current % of that last batch of votes are consistent then the clear winner will be Rosalie Crestani.. second place is a tough call - Maybe Milla Gilich has enough support to gain the 436 votes she needs to pass Rafal Kaplon... Naturally I'd be delighted if all the preferences came to me and I squeezed pass them all... We'll just have to wait an...d see... #Thanks #FourOaksCasey #CityofCasey #VisionforCommunity

12.01.2022 Without a doubt this success was a direct result of some very hard working and committed people. The first being Cam Lucadou-Wells from the Star news group. Cam has been covering this for months, creating local community awareness of Johns plight. Thanks Cam for your persistence, commitment and all those articles. Thanks also to Kristy Mayr and her cameraman for treating John with kindness & respect. He was delighted you came spent so long at his place and appreciated th...e work you did. Johns friends and neighbours - prove beyond doubt that those that live in Four Oaks Ward within the City of Casey are the best. And finally well done to the City of Casey Councillors and Mayor for making this decision. Undoubtedly this decision will hurt the ego of those who pushed for it. Hopefully one day they'll understand that this was the right decision to make. To those that turned up, wrote or called on behalf on John... Thanks Chris #teameffort #FourOaksCasey #Visionforcommunity

07.01.2022 You're all invited to support John and help him keep his home and sanctuary by attending tonight's council meeting at Narre Warren. Meet at 6.30pm - see u there!

02.01.2022 I welcome an investigation into the alleged abuse committed by Steve Beardon. If the allegations are true then may he receive the appropriate justice from the relevant authorities. Violence against anyone (regardless of gender) has no place in our community let alone from our elected representatives. If Mr Beardon did indeed do this then he deserves what's coming regardless of the validity of his points. On a point I tend to agree with him. Cr Crestani is an active and senio...r member within the RUAP. The RUAP share the same address as Catch the Fire ministries in Hallam and have the same leader Danny Nalliah. Just recently (January 2017) - Catch the Fire was stripped of its charitable status by the Australian Government after it was found raising funds for Rise up Australia. ://www.abc.net.au/.../catch-the-fire-ministries.../8189070 Hence Cr Beardon's statement that I can surmise it’s to do with religious tendencies after 'Casey councillor Rosalie Crestani raising an urgent motion for the council to hold discussions with the Israeli city Ofakim for a possible sister-city relationship being ruled out of order on relevance and fact by Cr Aziz seems peculiar to me. RUAP policy towards Israel is being enacted by Cr Crestani under the guise of a sister city agreement. Why it is a matter of urgent business is beyond me. Nevertheless the argument to support such an arrangement is weak at best. Australia has Globally recognised bodies and authorities in the field of agriculture and farming economics. eg ANU and AARES. 'Australian farmers are amongst the most efficient and best practice operators on the planet' DFAT and OECD reports claim. Surely Cr Crestani should be focusing her talents and resources to local community issues such as roads, rates, rubbish, respect and reserves before embarking on grandiose global arrangements that provide little benefit for those within our own local community. Leave these kinds of relationship arrangements to the Federal Government . And before I am accused of being an anti semite, let me add that as a Christian I am committed to supporting Israel and its people. This commitment is personal (like my faith) It does not mean that I will embrace the RUAP Israel policy and seek to have it introduced in my place of employ. http://berwicknews.starcommunity.com.au//beardon-resigns-/
