24.01.2022 The Houdini's children have been busy exploring different habitats. They have been on a journey to the Arctic this week. Our clever educators have been busy creating fun ways for the children to participate in the program. This was one of the fabulous sensory tubs they created to engage the curious little learners in their room.

All of the weekly extra curricular activities at Foxwell Magic are offered to the children at no extra cost to families. Children all have access to the same opportunities without adding any additional financial pressure on families.

Who can resist a cheesy piece of pizza? Not our Houdinis apparently. 15.01.2022 A big thank you to Mrs Finch and Mrs Blyth from Coomera Rivers State School who came and spent some time with our Pre Prep children this morning doing music and rhymes. This year has been a bit challanging to get out and visit our community, however our local schools have been so supportive with coming up with creative ways to engage with the children and get them excited about their transition to Prep in 2021.

10.01.2022 Under The Sea Discovery Houdinis used salt and bicarbonate soda to fizz and melt away the ice to discover sea creatures lurking in the dark green and blue depths of the frozen ocean. Research shows sensory play builds nerve connections in the brains pathways, which lead to the childs ability to complete more complex learning tasks.

This was such an incredible opportunity for the children to get up close and personal with some amazing creatures. Developing and nurturing an appreciation of nature in our children is a fundamental element that safeguards the safety of our wildlife and environment. ... By teaching children that every animal, all nature and people have the right to life, we instill a respect and appreciation of nature. And together we can educate kids about wildlife conservation. Building children's understanding of wildlife conservation ensures that our beautiful country and our wildlife will be preserved for future generations.

We have been so incredibly blessed as a service to work with local Elder Uncle Allan over the past year. This has allowed our educators to build their capacity for cultural competence and offer the children such beautiful and meaningful experiences within the programs.

07.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK always was, always will be Teaching children about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture helps them to develop respect for diversity and understanding of cultural differences. Doves room had a beautiful bush ceremony where they painted their own faces with ochre from our indigenous Elder, to show their respect and appreciation for our indigenous heritage.
