22.01.2022 Your car running rough with a low idle and costing you more money at the petrol station. Maybe your car could do with a de-carbon.

22.01.2022 Track day for testing and development of the Honda Civic platform.

22.01.2022 A good spark needs good parts... worn ignition components can prematurely wear other parts in your ignition system... wrong spark plug gap can put extra load on the ignition coil causing internal distributor parts such as the cap and rotor button to wear... pictures show new vs old rotor button and signs of wear on the ignition coil such as the discolouration on this distributor coil.

21.01.2022 Drive an automatic? This is the oil pan of a Mazda 3 that has never been serviced. The transmission oil was coated in fine metallic particles and in the picture the circular magnet is completely overwhelmed with ferric material.

19.01.2022 Today was a good day... Bryan has got a new PB of 68.0sec(1997 Honda Civic), Jordan first track day time of 71sec (1993 Honda Civic) and my time of 69.1sec in my family (Honda Accord Euro) sedan... drove to track and drove home, reliability and fun that is what we set out for.

19.01.2022 Jake's spicy DC4 Honda Integra turbo. Sporting new Yokohama Advan AD08R on his ADVAN RACING mag wheels(a perfect pairing). A fair amount of tweaking of ride height, guards and alignment to make room for the bigger tyres for maximum grip on 16 inch wheels. She is a fun car and it will drive Jake into a new PB at our local race track.

16.01.2022 Looking to buy a second hand car but don't know what to look out for? Here is a perfect example of the hidden what may lay within. i.e. Airbag code that does not clear, leaving the SRS light to flash on the dash and previous error codes. The buyer was able to negotiate a better price as a result of my findings on a pre-purchase inspection.

16.01.2022 He are clips of Ash's FEVO(FAKE EVO) on today's PDA (Performance Driving Australia) track day... I didn't take any of my cars in today but I enjoyed taking part as passenger in Ash's FEVO, Jake's turbo Integra and Eliza's 323 Astina. Which by the way drove very well and she managed to drive a 74 second lap time on her first track day.

15.01.2022 Today I worked on Jordan's 96' Honda EK4 Civic hatch with a EK9 B16A heart. I replaced all five engine mounts, oil and filter change, gearbox oil change, spark plugs, coil over ride height adjustment, tyres and wheel alignment getting ready for track day on the 2nd of Feb at Baskerville Raceway.

14.01.2022 I finally got around to finishing my HONDA CRV engine...

12.01.2022 Holden Captiva design flaw... The crank seals on the Holden Captiva do not have a spring behind it's seal... the seal loses it's ability to keep oil in the engine causing oil to soak and impregnate the rubber serpentine belt... in this example the belt broke apart and wrapped itself around the harmonic balancer and C.V. shaft... the belt material behind the harmonic balancer wrapped itself around the crank and straight into the crankcase...

12.01.2022 Ever wondered what's involved in replacing a Volkswagen Golf radiator? Under tray cover out, front bumper out, head lights out, front bumper support out and bottom radiator support out.

12.01.2022 https://youtu.be/dJ6E4eX9OAI Bryan Teo completing his first track day at Baskerville Raceway with a time of 1'11.3 seconds. For those who don't know I have been working with Bryan and his Honda Civic for the pass 10 months and to finally drive it to the track and back home has been his goal as a daily driven track car. Congrats Bryan.

11.01.2022 It's been 6 long months and now Bryan's Honda Civic is finally ready for it's first track day... Powersteering pump issues resolved, suspension issues resolved, timing belt, water pump, braided brake lines, front brake upgrades, oil leaks, Yokohama semi slick tyres and valve stem seals... I'm sure I missed some details... A pleasure to have been a part of the build to date.

11.01.2022 Every car deserves ultrasonic clean parts.

10.01.2022 After 2 days of TLC the legendary RB26DETT is running as it should again.

09.01.2022 Here she is running, once more.

08.01.2022 My friend Ash, surprised me today with some stickers he designed... to go on cars that have had their track day ready wheel alignments.

08.01.2022 Major misalignment... this engine threw the alternator belt due to the wrong harmonic balancer was fitted by an engine re-conditioner. When you can't find any parts... I make use of what is available to me... I turned the harmonic balancer on the lathe and removed 8mm... check for clearance, job done. Moral of the story... never put too much trust in your parts supplier and never give up... there is always a way.

04.01.2022 I know, I haven't posted in awhile but there's new tooling coming in the next month.

04.01.2022 Would you believe this was only recently replaced?... The previous owner paid a mechanic to replace the clutch kit on this car. Only to have the new clutch fail due to incorrect fitment of the clutch fork. This left the clutch plate to ride on the pressuse plate and flywheel, generating very high temperatures causing it to fail. New clutch kit and the car was back on the road.

03.01.2022 1993 NISSAN SKYLINE BNR32... Leo was recommended to see me about a leaking water pump. But what I found was an ageing timing belt kit, intake cam timing out by a tooth, leaky front oil seals and a crank sprocket that was damaged when last removed and installed.

01.01.2022 Noticed an unusual noise and vibration test driving this 2008 V6 Honda Accord... soon found out that the RH engine mount had completely leaked out hydraulic fluid and was thoroughly broken.

01.01.2022 Don't know where to start? https://youtu.be/1-H9MFclSx0
