Each month for Flower Club mum brings foliage and flowers from her 100 acre property for our boxes daily flowers and helps for a few days. Creating the business years ago I wanted to have the ability to be able to always help my family and not be worried able what a boss would think if I was making family a higher priority than work. Now we have that and the added boss that mum can also come to us! I love having mum here while I get to do my thang!

20.01.2022 Gee I love this man. I’m not really one for PDAs (public display of Affection) but really I think we should celebrate the little things more. If 2020 has taught me anything it’s honestly how grateful I am for my gorgeous husband. There’s a lot that isn’t glamorous about running a business, working from home, having kids and just trying to make a go of life. But this man really does make me laugh and we give it all a good crack! It’s nearly always messy, fairly loud and most...ly a crazy chaotic but there is so much love. So as I collapse in bed after another full day as I listen to my darling Steve clean the kitchen, my heart is very full. I honestly don’t think we sometimes give our spouses and partners enough appreciation for all the things they do for us. Daily life can take over so quickly. What does your partner do which makes you feel loved?

07.01.2022 I’m so looking forward to helping make Christmas Tables have a bit of magic on them this year with our Christmas workshop and Flower Club delivery. This certainly is a year which could do with as much beauty and magic as we can muster. Take extra care and go gently with people over this strange festive season. Check on your friends and neighbours, many people have plans which need to be cancelled or adjusted, many have family they can’t be with. Check on your neighbours, ask... how your friends are going and really listen when they answer, talking about how hard it is can really help. If you can invite those who aren’t where they planned to be for meal, there’s always room to be together and to be kind. Be kind always, move slower, lots of things really don’t actually matter. It may not be perfect or how it always is. That’s ok. 01.01.2022 Today is National #RUOKDAY. A day aimed at mental health awareness & suicide prevention by checking in with those around you and starting a conversation that could potentially save their life. I believe Mental health awareness is more important now than its ever been. This has been a really tough year for pretty much everyone!! I believe when you ask this question you really need to be ready to actually listen and hear the answer. It can be seriously confronting to hear th...at your loved one isnt OK. I dont believe we have a particularly fabulous mental health system ready to listen or support those who arent OK. I understand RUOK Day is a start to open a conversation and I fully agree we need to speak more and help each other but are we actually equip to answer/ hold space / support someone if they Arent OK? When we share our deepest most vulnerable feeling of No Im Not feeling OK, we have to feel like there is a place where the person asking really has space to listen and capacity and empathy to not judge and to just be present, witness, support and truly hear. We need to ask the question but we also need to do so with awareness that the answer might challenge us. Particularly this year, there are many who are not ok. In our very Aussie way of life and looking on the Bright Side - Just telling someone to cheer up or it could be worse or you just need to be positive doesnt honour how they are really feeling. Be mindful of this when you are asking if they are ok. Everyone has their own journey. Be kind and gentle as you listen. Sometimes when a person isnt ok they need smaller thought steps to get back to feeling ok. Your idea of it could be worse might be the most catastrophic thing they have ever imagined happening. Just Be with your friend or loved one, listen, let them talk about it. Perhaps offer to go for a little walk in the sunshine with them if you can. Give them a drink of water or make them a cup of tea. Helpful small things will make a difference and show you are really listening when you ask R U OK? If you need to talk I am absolutely here to listen. I can put the kettle on any time. #RUOK
