23.01.2022 My Philosophy I believe children are unique and I understand they all have different needs and develop their capabilities in their own pace. They need space, respect, freedom and time to develop who they are, and guidance, stimulation and interactions to reach their full potential in their emotional, social, language, cognitive and physical development along their learning journey. I believe there are many ways you can support childrens learning along the care. Children le...arn by exploring and experiencing their senses and the world around them. Children learn through play, interactions and experiences. They learn by observing actions and their consequences and how things work. My approach involves creating an environment where they can build their identity, feel belonging, feel empowered to contribute to the world in their own way, feel confident and involved learners and effective communicators. My aim is providing freedom to create their own marks, empower their abilities to make decisions, gain confidence in their abilities. To give guidance so they make empathetic decisions and consider the safety, appreciation and respect by themselves, others and the environment I will respect their time to learn and develop in their own pace. I will be providing experiences, stimulating interactions, being a positive role model and promoting childrens learning dispositions. I also want to explore and celebrate the cultures of all the families involved in care, starting with my own one. I will bring my language, Brazilian myths, songs, art and celebrations to the educational environment as well as all the families of different background are more than welcome to bring it to the service. We will be constantly celebrating the diversity of the community we live in including the traditional culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people. I recognise the value of connections with the community and outside world and their role as active citizens.

06.01.2022 Who I am? My main source of inspiration to become an educator of young children is my own magical childhood as it printed in myself a strong awareness of how sensitive, perceptive and connected we are in this stage and how its modes and bring us foundations of who we will become. I grew up in a very nurturing family very connected with the community that provided me with freedom to explore the nature, use my imagination and to be myself. They respected my own pace and my part...icularities making me feel accepted and loved. My parents were great role models and guided me with an empathetic approach to others and to the environment and appreciation to culture and nature. Since I moved to Australia in 2010, qualified as an architect and being a 2 years old childs mother, I had the opportunity to consider who I was and what made sense for me at this new stage of my life. I made the choice of working as an educator from my first year and since then I never stopped as I found a place where all my creativity and passion to children could flourish and be developed. From this moment, I worked for many different childcare services such as Explore and Develop and Only About Children where I learned and built a vast experience to work with different ranges of ages and philosophies. I also have always been inspired by the respectful, imaginative and human approach of Walldorf education, and I bring many of its ideas from my own research to the practice in care. Another source of inspiration is the great encouragement of independence and the beauty of natural resources seen in the Reggio Emilia approach, which I try to include in the routine of the children. All these experiences are the foundation of who I am now as an educator. See more
