22.01.2022 There is no greater example of the difference between living in Independent Federal seats and marginal major party seats than what we have seen happen in the last week. I note that my good friend Mayor Alf Lacey had water filtration problems on Palm Island. He is a tireless worker for his community and managed to get both major party’s to commit millions toward a solution. All within days of the problem. In Kennedy we have four Community’s that regularly have to boil water. ...This is a problem in third world country’s, it’s not acceptable that this is an issue in Kennedy Electorate! After nearly 20 years with the current member, we still have no solution.

04.01.2022 We will support Australians’ choices on home ownership and investment. We will invest $1 billion in local infrastructure to unlock new housing supply in partnership with local councils through the National Housing Infrastructure Facility. We will establish the First Home Loan Deposit Scheme which will give first home buyers better access to finance without having to save a 20% deposit.... It will be available to first home buyers who have been able to save for a deposit of at least 5 per cent. For example, if you’re a couple earning under $200,000, or an individual earning under $125,000, and you want to buy your first home valued at $600,000, you will only need to save a deposit of $30,000, instead of $120,000. Our First Home Loan Deposit Scheme will support up to 10,000 first home buyer loans each year helping first home owners to purchase a home faster. The Scheme will also help first home buyers save around $10,000 by not having to pay Lenders Mortgage Insurance.
