07.01.2022 The Top 5 Video Interview Questions! Everyone has a story to tell, and it is amazing when they are willing to share their knowledge on camera. Before you ask any questions, consider the role of the interviewer. Your role is to help the person share their story. Here are my top five questions to ask on camera: 1. How did it all begin? ... (history / backstory / origins) 2. Why do you love what do you? (this will catch people off guard, but also makes them relax) 3. What advice do you have for others? (at some level everyone wants to help others - we are social people) 4. What does the future hold? (we all have hopes and dreams) 5. Is there anything else would you like to share? (this question gives someone the opportunity to really have their say) Generally speaking I dont prepare more than 10 questions for an interview. The types of questions I might cover include: Introduction / Warm Up What? Who? How? Why? Overcoming Challenges Benefits Like and Love (more personal) Advice for others Funny or interesting stories Future Providing these questions before the interview can sometimes put people at ease, however there is always the chance they may pre-prepare answers, which locks them into unnatural and overly rehearsed responses. Remember, any prepared questions are just a guide, a good interview should be a two-way conversation. Listen and go with the flow, you can always come back to written questions if you get stuck. #videointerview #interview #stories #community
