25.01.2022 #2 of our Scott Boland Cricket Academy was delivered last night with a focus on physical & mental preparation. Scott, Hasto & FPCC Coaches spoke to & took all the Q & As from our participants on how to go about preparing for cricket, the difference in preparing for white ball matches vrs red ball matches & understanding how all have a role in team match-day plans. This followed our #1 session hearing from Scott & Hasto about their cricketing journeys from local cricket, to Premier Cricket through to, playing for the Vic, Aussie & BBL Teams. #Go HEAT!

23.01.2022 HEAT HIGHLIGHT 2019-20: Joining us from Hampshire in England, Felix Organ made a big impact in Round 7. Scoring 128 runs off 168 deliveries, Felix powered the 1st XI to a total of 327, making his first century for the club and placing us in a commanding position in the match. "I was really happy to be able to contribute to the side and getting my first hundred for the club was a great feeling, commented Felix, hopefully there will be many more to come. 17.01.2022 Congratulations Aaron McIlroy! Another captain, another record. During season 2019/20, Our 3rd XI captain passed Rob Fisher (132 wickets) for the record of most 3rd XI wickets at FPCC in Premier Cricket. Aaron has currently taken 145 wickets in the grade.

17.01.2022 HEAT HIGHLIGHT 2019-20: A classy and patient innings, Blake Eklund made his first century for the club making 102 off 184 deliveries. Aided by a 150 run partnership with Lachie Klauer, and a strong innings by Lachie Walsh, Blake took the 3rd XI to an imposing total of 2/302. The century was a good feeling, said Blake, and it was great to spend some time out in the middle and contribute to a big total for the team. Blake’s brilliant performance is today's highlight from the 2019-20 season against Kingston Hawthorn Cricket Club.

16.01.2022 HEAT HIGHLIGHT 2019-20: A very impressive all-round performance from Chris Cleef provided an example of his outstanding season. Firing 63 not out off 50 balls, and taking 3/33 off 8.4 overs, Cleefy was an integral key in leading the 2nd XI to victory in Round 11. I was pleased with the individual all-round performance and the hard work finally paying off, mentioned Chris, but celebrating the win with the team makes it all the more worth it. Cleefy’s awesome performance is today's highlight from the 2019-20 season against Camberwell Magpies Cricket Club.

15.01.2022 What a strong start to the Sheffield Shield season from our very own Scott Boland! "Barrel" took 6/61 off 33 overs, almost bowling Victoria to victory against South Australia in the second innings after taking 2/52 on day one. Jon Holland also bowled well, taking a very economical 1/96 off 46 overs, after a strong showing of 2/46 in the first innings!

14.01.2022 HEAT HIGHLIGHT 2019-20: With the 4th XI in trouble at 3/42 chasing 298, Simon Draycott walked to the crease and helped rescue a draw for the side. Making 109 runs, his first century for the club, our 4th XI captain combined with Nick England for a match saving 124 run partnership. We were in a tough situation all match, so it was pleasing to help the team out by scoring a hundred, commented Draycs, it was nice to combine with first-year player Nick England and ultimately see the team to safety and secure a draw. Simon’s awesome performance is today's highlight from the 2019-20 season against Essendon Cricket Club.

14.01.2022 History was made in January, with the first female cricket side to represent FPCC Competing in the VRC U-18 Female Competition, the side had a victory in Round 1 over Northcote/Edinburgh, and losses in Rounds 2 and 3 against Greenvale and Geelong. They also competed in the Grand Final 2, defeating Northcote/Edinburgh by 8 wickets to finish 3rd. Stefanie Harris (12* and 1/4) performed with both bat and ball, with Grace Barnes (16*) and Tara Quinn (1/2) contributing well in... the victory. Congratulations to all involved in what was a wonderful tournament

10.01.2022 ENGLISH UPDATE Congratulations to FPCC favourite Tom Wood who returned to first class cricket for the first time in three years this week. Woody scored 26 opening the batting for Derbyshire in their draw against Yorkshire, in what was a rain-interrupted match. We can’t wait to see Woody play more regularly as the Bob Willis Trophy continues over the coming months. Current FPCC star Felix Organ had a quiet match in Hampshire’s innings victory agai...nst Surrey. However, he has made a strong start to the season with the ball. Felix led his team to victory over Middlesex last week, taking 4/42 in the second innings. Good luck to both boys as the season progresses. We’ll be following with keen interest.

10.01.2022 HEAT HIGHLIGHT 2019-20: In Round 2 Matt Gapes was phenomenal, smashing 8 sixes on his way to his second 1st XI century for the club. Making 130 runs off 120 deliveries, Gapesy led us to an exciting victory, chasing down Monash’s total of 272 in the final over. After two years struggling with injury, the century meant a lot to me, commented Gapesy, and for the side to win, made it even sweeter. Gapesy’s wonderful innings is today's highlight from the 2019-20 season against Monash Tigers.

07.01.2022 HEAT HIGHLIGHT 2019-20: Patience and determination was on show as Nick Mann carried his bat, batting the entire day for his fourth hundred for the club. Manny faced a mammoth 325 deliveries for his 129 not out, guiding the 2nd XI to a total of 7/268. At lunch I was just trying to bat for as long as I could, said Nick, but to bat the entire day, I didn’t think I’d be able to do that. Nick’s outstanding innings is today's highlight from the 2019-20 season against Ringwood Cricket Club.

07.01.2022 HEAT HIGHLIGHT 2019-20: Almost dragging the 2nd XI over the line, Tim Drummond made 75 runs off 94 deliveries and took 3/53 off his allotted 10 overs. A great all-round performance, Tim helped move the side to 9/249 in a valiant chase against a strong side. To be able to help the team with both bat and ball is always a good feeling, mentioned Tim, hopefully it can begin to transfer from an individual effort to helping the team get positive results in the future. 02.01.2022 HEAT HIGHLIGHT 2019-20: Harrison Barnes made his first century for the club in a classy and emphatic innings in the 2nd XI. Combining with Nathan Harford for a 212 run partnership, making 111 runs off 157 balls in a breakout performance for the Heat. To be able to bat with Harf for that long and build that partnership was very special and rewarding, said Barno, it was good to see the team take a lot away from the game, and it was awesome to see Harf make a statement with his big score.
