25.01.2022 Auscycle will now be the place to renew your membership. Be sure to follow the links and select Frankston BMX Club as your nominated club. If you hold a current BMX Australia license that continues on until it’s expiry date then your renewal will be with Auscycle. 25.01.2022 Many of you may be aware that the State Government has just announced that we are to go back to stage 3 lockdown. This means no BMX for at least the next 6 weeks. Tomorrow nights coaching groups will be the last for 6 weeks or until advised. Stay safe and Stay at home.

24.01.2022 This weekend we should be enjoying Victorian State Titles in Bendigo. These weekends are always fun times for the parents and children. Building friendships is a huge part of BMX. 24.01.2022 2020 being the gift that keeps on giving!!! Very disappointing to come down to the track tonight for our gates session only to find we had been burgled. Thank you to the ******** that thought our canteen was a great place to ran sack. Hope your staying warm in our lovely new merchandise along with our matching club gloves and a belly full of out of date lollies. Hope you choked on the coke.

24.01.2022 It’s a hot one tonight so please be sure to bring extra water. The canteen won’t be open but the sausage sizzle will be running. When you arrive please check in at the table near canteen. Please bring your current license with you as Auscycle trial licenses and non Frankston Sharks members don’t show up in our Auscycle data base. You must have a current license to ride gate nights.

23.01.2022 When attending club activities please be aware of the Covid Guidelines in place. Valid license is a must. You cannot rise the track unless your license is valid.

23.01.2022 No easing of restrictions for BMX in Victoria. Our numbers still remain capped for coaching and gates sessions. Parents still must remain outside of the track during these sessions. Hopefully we will back running club racing in a few months time. Please be aware that SCOOTERS and SKATEBOARDS are NOT allowed on the track. They ruin all the hard work of our volunteers who work on the track surface. Bicentennial park in Chelsea has great facilities for you guys to ride. Fingers... crossed moving forward we can eventually hold Come N Try days for all those people interested in BMX. At this stage we are still unable to loan out any club equipment eg bikes, helmets, clothing or gloves and our facilities remain closed. You can however head down to the track over the weekends with your bike and helmet and see what you think about riding the track. Saturday afternoons and anytime Sunday is a great time. 20.01.2022 We need your help to run our Event on the 14th January. All volunteers who sign up to help will receive a spectator ticket for all rounds of Track Attack. Please fill out the below form. We need all contact details so that they can be provided to Eastern Region Committee. We may set up staging and the track on the 13th January from 5pm till 7pm or it may be done on the Wednesday afternoon from 3pm. 15.01.2022 With today’s announcement we may be able to return to some more club activities. Gates will continue to run and bookings will still be required so that we can document via booking links who attends. FUN Club racing may resume but bare with us while we work through how this will run. Club email will go out later tonight with details and booking links for Wednesday Gate session. Please note the track still remains closed until we sort through some finer details with Frankston Council. We are getting closer to having the facilities open for all to enjoy.

14.01.2022 Frankston BMX club current members an email will be sent out tonight regarding club gates resuming. This will be for Under 18 year old members only as contact sport is yet to resume for over 18 year olds. Bookings will be essential. Please only book one session so that spaces can go around for everyone. If we have spots available we will advertise on our fb page for all clubs. At last nights meeting a number of scenarios were discussed to enable the series to run in a n...umber of different formats depending on limitations in January 2021. 12.01.2022 Just a little Covid update from BMX Victoria. In one a month time BMX Australia will have a name change as all cycling disciplines form as one. When you see the name Auscycle that is the new name for BMX. Please remember that all Metro tracks remain closed so gaining access illegally means you may see yourself with a $5,000 fine. As soon as we are allowed to re open we will let all our members know.

03.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the Covid-19 outbreak and Stage 4 restrictions in Victoria there have been delays with supply of hoodies and T-shirts to our clothing printer. We may not have our clothing delivered until after Stage 4 restrictions are lifted. We will notify everyone as soon as we have a delivery date.

02.01.2022 Save the dates for 2021. Please remember that volunteering is a must to qualify for end of year trophies. Without volunteers our club events can’t run. If we can’t fill the volunteer roster club racing will not run. We will have a card system (like a coffee card) that will need to be signed off after each working bee or racing event that you volunteer at.... All clubs welcome and can win club championship trophies (if you volunteer)

02.01.2022 MEDIA RELEASE 5pm, Wednesday 8th July 2020 RE: 2020 Victorian BMX State Championships... The health & safety of the Victorian BMX community has been and continues to be the number one priority for BMX Victoria. As a result of the announcement for Metropolitan Melbourne (& Mitchell Shire) going into a six week lockdown at 11:59pm this evening, the board of BMX Victoria have made the tough decision to cancel the 2020 BMXV State Championships that were scheduled to be held in Bendigo from September 11-13. This has not been an easy decision to come to and the Board would like to express their thanks for the work done until this point for planning the event by the City of Greater Bendigo, Bendigo BMX Club, Sports Marketing Australia & The State Championships organising committee. State Championships are a great celebration of our sport and enjoyed not just by riders on the track, but also the BMX Community around the track and in the pits. The social distancing measures required to ensure the safety of all participants would not be possible for the number of people expected at the event. We appreciate there may be some frustration as a result of this decision, and want to ensure the BMX Community that this has been an absolute last resort. We look forward to seeing the curve flattened and racing able to recommence across the whole state when safe to do so. The Board & staff of BMXV are continuing to work within Government restrictions to ensure we are ready for this, when safe to do so. Any updates on future dates and events will be made as soon as we see a clear path for the sport to continue. Until then, stay home if you can, stay safe & stay healthy.
