24.01.2022 Today is Swallowing Awareness Day. Like breathing, swallowing is essential to everyday life. Humans swallow at between 500-700 times a day, around three times an hour during sleep, once per minute while awake and even more during meals. Around one million Australians have a swallowing difficulty. Swallowing problems can occur at any stage of life. However, the knowledge of dysphagia and its implications remain largely unknown for most Australians.

10.01.2022 This week is Speech Pathology week. The 2020 theme is ‘communicating with confidence’. There are 1.2 million Australians living with a communication disability. This disability remains largely unseen and out-of-sight, but can really limit work and lifestyle opportunities. Speech Pathologists work with these Australians to provide them with the confidence to communicate.

09.01.2022 When I started out last August, my home office was a folding camp table in our spare room! My hubby has been building me my own office, and this week I got to move in. So much better!

I love how diverse my job is
