23.01.2022 How crazy would it have been to be present when the Israelites were delivered out of Egypt? Watching God absolutely destroy Egypt through the ten plagues while your own people were untouched, to then be let go taking with you all the riches of Egypt! They would have seen and felt Gods protection and blessing first hand. But in Exodus 14 it says that right after they were freed, God told them to turn back to provoke the Egyptians into coming after them... God had a bigger plan..., a bigger breakthrough, a bigger miracle. He was about the part the sea for them. But the Israelites had to face their enemy one more time for it to all unfold. In their fear they said theyd rather be back in Egypt. They wanted to give up the hope and the promise before them and return to the pain and oppression behind them. Moses answered the people, Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. Exodus 14:13-14 NIV Our path to our promise is often filled with obstacles and trials. We have a choice; give up and go back because everythings not going our way, or stand firm and trust that God is still at work through the hard times too. Gods plan is always bigger that what we could know. His protection and blessing still exist despite the challenges we see in front of us. Stand firm in His promises today and choose hope!

14.01.2022 Have you noticed were surrounded by negativity these days? Scroll down a few posts on your feed and youre bound to see it... did you know that a negative mindset can hold us back from our purpose in God? In numbers 13 & 14 we read the negative report the spies gave about the promised land which allowed doubt and fear to infect the entire nation. This was the moment that kept Israel wandering in the desert for 40 years and stopped every single Israelite (except for Joshua an...d Caleb) from entering the promised land. It was meant to be their destiny. Their purpose. But they forfeited it all because of negativity and complaining. It all started with a bad perspective. Instead of seeing the possibilities, they saw the obstacles. And it spread like a disease, infecting everyone who heard it. Your perspective matters.

13.01.2022 Did you know that Gods promise to Israel in Jer 29:11 was not a promise that everything will be easy and as they wanted right now, but an encouragement to help them endure their time of captivity in Babylon for the next 70 years! (verse 10) God does have a wonderful plan for your life, even if everything around a you feels like exile right now. Even if life feels out of your control, this time will pass. The God who created the heavens and the earth created you too, He created you with great plans and purpose in mind

12.01.2022 Due to the latest COVID announcements, church is cancelled this week. Here are a few words from our Senior Pastor. "Dear Freedom family - we are very sad to have to announce that we are cancelling our Sunday services this week and all home groups will now be happening via zoom until further notice. This is very disappointing but we need to comply with the governments decision as good citizens. I believe that it is important for the Church to lead the way in this regard. ... It is too late for us to organise videos and so we will simply move our service to next week. If this lockdown continues we will let you know and we will revert to Church on video again. Please know that we love you all very much. We miss you and look forward to the day that this virus will be eradicated. If we seek God in this process our relationship with Him will be deeper and stronger. This season were in is unfamiliar, full of challenges and some days we might feel like were only just surviving, but if we choose to we can take this opportunity to grow exactly where God has planted us. 01.01.2022 Sometimes God asks us to forget what we know and do something a little differently. Jesus tells experienced fishermen to do something that didnt make sense to them; cast their nets into deep water in the middle of the day. Back then fishermen cast their nets at night when the fish couldnt see them, and these men had been doing this all night with no luck. When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch. Simon an...swered, Master, weve worked hard all night and havent caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets. Luke 5:4-5 NIV When they did this they caught more fish than theyd probably ever caught before. So many that their nets began to break and their boats began to sink! One of the things that this pandemic has done is force us out of our regular routines and do things differently. We can choose to give up or we can look for another way, and who knows, that new way might be more successful than the old trusted ways we used before. What is it that you need to trust God with and try something new?
