24.01.2022 Putting in the work loving training so much mixing it up and having good people helping me

24.01.2022 Thumbs up to these two!

22.01.2022 Sierra Leone Thank you so much Wheelchairs for Kids for all your support and efforts to get a container of wheelchairs out to Sierra Leone - it is greatly appre...ciated by the Enable the Children team and especially by the children and their families. I hope that these photos are an encouragement as each signifies a life changed. I love watching the children being able to push themselves around rather than being carried or crawling on the floor - you can see the joy of the freedom that it gives them, which is amazing. The distribution has started well and we have taken some photos along the way. I have attached some for you. We went to an orphanage for children with disabilities and gave out 8 wheelchairs to the children there - there is the rather dim photo of the group of 7 of the children to show this. I know that they were in the middle of a massive thunder storm when that photo was taken, and so they were not able to go outside where it was lighter. We also travelled up to Kambia (by the Guinea border) and gave out 7 wheelchairs to children there, which was greatly appreciated - these photos are attached. We left another 8 there for a follow up visit before school starts in September so we will be able to give out more at that time, to help children there access school. We have also given out some to our children here in Freetown - two of these children's photos are attached. I hope that these photos are an encouragement as each signifies a life changed. I love watching the children being able to push themselves around rather than being carried or crawling on the floor - you can see the joy of the freedom that it gives them, which is amazing. We will continue to send photos and keep you updated on our distribution. Many thanks and Best Wishes Anna , Physiotherapist Enable the Children Program World Hope International http://www.worldhope.org/enable-the-children

22.01.2022 NO FOMO (FEAR OF MISSING OUT) HERE! I'm a curious kind of person. Some would stay a sticky beak but I prefer to describe myself as inquisitive. A trait BJ share...s. Therefore, when the kids and I went for a walk on our recent beach getaway at Seal Rocks I was curious to see what everyone was doing at the top of the rock shelf pictured below. Most of the morning walkers were heading up and over the other side making me keen to do it too. I said to AJ, "Let's give it a go. I'm sure between us we can get BJ to the top." Well, when we got close it was a bit daunting because it was so rocky but we decided to push on anyway (literally!) We were doing okay by ourselves but a kind man came along and offered us a helping hand over the lower rocks. We then managed the rest by ourselves. At the top was a spectacular view of the ocean beating against the rock face. Before anyone says anything, I'm a nervous nelly so I had the brake on the Sandcruiser while taking these pics of the kids up there. BJ was pretty pleased with himself and I was incredibly happy he hadn't missed out. I felt this experience was symbolic of our life in general. We are prepared to do what we can to ensure BJ doesn't miss out but that extra helping hand is so appreciated and necessary to make sure we can give him every opportunity. And if you've ever wondered how robust a Sandcruiser beach wheelchair is, I think we've shown it's pretty tough.

20.01.2022 He left his wheelchair behind for the adventure of a lifetime. The first trip was for Kevan. Now, they're giving back: http://bit.ly/2LMILiO

14.01.2022 At Freedom Wheelchairs we are a dog friendly workplace. Our dogs come in occasionally and share the workday with us. We’d like to introduce you to Woody - he’s expert at barking when we are on the phone, and guarding the stairs.

04.01.2022 Philippines Makmak was born without legs and has only one arm. However, he managed to graduate with honors despite his limitations. Now, who says disability is ...a hindrance to his attempts at reaching for his dreams? Thank you Wheelchairs For Kids... From STAND ,Oroquitda, Mindanao, Philippines. See more

03.01.2022 MOST mums experience the joy of seeing their children take their first wobbly steps when they are still babies, but Aisling Crehan is moving heaven and earth to see her daughter Ciara take those first steps at the age of four. #CerebalPalsy
