23.01.2022 With pre-season training due to start in early December we have postponed this for at least 2 week pending further information and advice. Below is important communication from SANFL. Community Football | COVID-19 Update | Community Sport and Training Fixtures Cancelled... SANFL Community Football | COVID-19 Update | Community Sport and Training Fixtures Cancelled | Please Forward to Clubs The purpose of this communication is to advise that due to the current COVID outbreak in South Australia, effective from midnight tonight all community sport training and fixtures have been cancelled. This includes any pre-season training, access to gyms and any promotional programs (ie: come & try sessions, registration days) currently planned by Community Leagues and Clubs. It is anticipated that these measures will be in place for at least the next two weeks. Clubs are reminded that SA Health undertake contact tracing of all positive cases, and will make contact with close contacts (including football clubs) if required. Protocol Reminder We remind our football community to continue with their COVIDSafe and other measures being encouraged by SA Health: hygiene and cleaning practices maintaining physical distancing where possible (including limiting non-essential contact such as hand-shakes, high-fives, hugs etc) ensuring density limits are not breached in internal spaces work from home where possible mask wearing in environments where physical distancing isn’t possible (ie: on public transport) vulnerable persons to stay at home seeking testing if unwell Licenced venues can continue to trade as per their COVIDSafe Plan however standing consumption is not permitted in any area and new density requirements of 1 person per 4sqm must be observed (up to 100 patrons). Health Information SA Health has announced a number of venues of concern. Anyone who has visited these venues should follow the relevant direction to seek testing, quarantine and/or monitor for symptoms. Details of these locations are available on the SA Health website. Summary We appreciate the level of uncertainty again faced by our clubs. However, the health and wellbeing of our football community, as well as the wider community is paramount; and we will continue to observe all advice from SA Health. 14.01.2022 Calling all Freeling fans, the time has arrived to show your true colours. We are about to experience a footy feast with all grades playing at home this weekend. The merchandise shop will be open and located next to the outside bar under the large covered area. We will be open Saturday until the final siren blows and Sunday morning from 8.30 to 11.30. We now have a limited supply of club polos, elite hoodies, walk shorts and more. We are still awaiting more merchandise to arrive including our online orders as well our club order. We apologise for the delay and are working with our supplier to have the orders pushed through as soon as possible. Looking forward to seeing you all there on the weekend and supporting our teams. 07.01.2022 COVID SAFE CHECK IN The South Australian Government is introducing COVIDSafe CheckIn, to enhance contact tracing efforts. It is mandatory for all public activities with a COVIDSafe plan to display their QR code from Tuesday 1 December. ... This includes all football activities at the club including training and the operation of the licenced venue. Effective December 1st, our QR code will be displayed at entry points, change rooms including the Football shed. In order to do this you will need to have the mySA GOV app installed on your phone or any QR reader from google play or apple App Store Signing into the QR code for COVID-19 contact tracing is a mandatory requirement in order to be allowed into the club room. It is imperative that we follow these regulations if we want the club room to remain open. If you do not have a smart phone or have left it at home, manual paperwork must be filled in at the door before you will be allowed into the club room or change rooms. Sanitiser will continue to be supplied and social distancing of one person per 1.5 square metres is in effect. Food and drinks must still only be consumed while seated inside the club, all other rules will be posted on signage around club so please take note. We understand that this may be an inconvenience and we thank you for your patience and assistance with these new rules. Thank you for all your support on this matter and making our club a safe one.
