23.01.2022 Posted @withregram @basketballsa_ MEET, TRAIN, GO | Last week, the State Government announced the South Australian roadmap for easing COVID-19 restrictions. Step 1, from 11 May allows for a return to training outdoors. Effective immediately, clubs and associations can commence outdoor training for junior and senior teams in groups of 10 people per court, plus one staff. All trainings will be held under strict protocols, in line with government guidelines to ensure the safet...y of our basketball community. Please refer to the Basketball SA Return to Train - Outdoor Guidelines on our website for more information. At this stage, indoor training will not be permitted and stadiums will remain closed until June 8. Basketball SA continues to work closely with the State Government on a structured plan for a return to basketball, and will provide updates to our community as we have more information to share. 13.01.2022 Our legendary hosts for the FTF Christmas Luncheon with Bunji and Brettster really need no introduction, but we just like seeing their list of accolades so here's goes! Andrew McLeod Known as Bunji to most people, Andrew is an AFL and Adelaide Football Club Hall of Fame Member who played 340 games. Andrew's accolades include being: 5x All Australian; All Australian Captain; 3x Club Champion; 2x Premiership Player; 2x Norm Smith Medalist; Captain of Australian Internationa...l Rules Series; Leigh Matthews MVP Winner; Jim Stynes Medalist; Michael Tuck Medalist; Polly Farmer Medalist; and Indigenous Team of the Century Member. Brett Maher Brettster is an Australian Basketball and Adelaide 36ers Hall of Fame Member who played 526 NBL games. Brett's career highlights include being: 36ers Captain from 1997-2009; 3x NBL Champion; 6x Club MVP; 2x Larry Sengstock Medalist; 3x NBL First Team; 4x NBL All Star; 3x Olympian; Gaze Medal Winner; and in his honour the 36ers home court is named after Brett, with his Jersey #5 hanging from the rafters.
