25.01.2022 At the Annual Impact100 Fremantle Voting & Awards Night, this year representatives from On My Feet, FremantleMind Inc, Connected By Inc, and Australian Dental Health Foundation all spoke passionately about their organisations in an effort to win the game-changing $100,000 grant. Australian Dental Health Foundation were the recipients of the major $100,000 grant which will mean the world-class clinic just down the road at St Pats can employ a permanent highly-qualified nurse, ...that will both improve the outcomes for their patients - by creating continuity of care, and their volunteer dentists - who will be better supported while volunteering their time. This key position will, in turn, assist in creating a sustainable completely free dental service for people experiencing homelessness. Congratulations to the entire team at the Australian Dental Health Foundation and St Patrick's Community Support Centre. Thanks to the generosity of our Impact100 Fremantle donors we raised a total of $115,000 allowing our three deserving finalists On My Feet, FremantleMind Inc and Connected By to each receive a $5,000 grant.

24.01.2022 There has never been a more important time for individuals, families, and businesses in Western Australia to unite in a collective way and respond with compassion and financial support to the impact of the COVID19 pandemic. The Fremantle Foundation has been working hard to support the WA community during the COVID19 crisis. In the first few weeks of the pandemic, we received $500,000 worth of requests for financial assistance from local not-for-profits. In response to this ...and in collaboration with other community leaders, we created the WA Relief and Recovery Fund: COVID-19, https://fremantlefoundation.org/covid19-fund-information which has attracted over $250,000 worth of donations to date, but we need much more to help address the current and ongoing needs of our community. The WA Relief and Recovery Fund: COVID-19 will direct financial support to food and housing, social support and health services for people experiencing homelessness, Indigenous Australians, families on low-incomes, seniors and those heavily reliant on sectors such as the arts, who will face increased struggles because of reduced or lost income. Please help us continue to play a vital role in helping improve the lives of vulnerable people across Western Australia by making a tax-deductible donation today https://fremantlefoundation.org/donate-to-wa-relief-recover Did you know that Trusts, Private and Public Ancillary Funds can also contribute to this fund? 24.01.2022 As we headed back into lockdown again, 2019 Impact100 Fremantle finalist Walyalup Kannajil updated us about how their finalist grant helped them get through 202...0. "With the Impact100 Fremantle finalist grant, we were able to continue our terms from Djeran to Birak (April to December) 2020, helping Walyalup Kannajil (WK) to navigate the COVID-19 restrictions in WA where we were unable to meet in person for a large portion of the time, meeting via Zoom instead. This would have been a very difficult time otherwise without the funding support of the Impact100 Fremantle and the Fremantle Foundation. WK lost significant income due to the restrictions from both the weekly entry fees as well as the cancellation of a number of local performances which each would have paid a fee for service. The Impact100 Fremantle funding helped to cover (reduced) wages of our Music Director as well as Coordinator, and maintain continuity and connection for the Choir and members. For some members, it was one of the few social contacts they had during restrictions. Post-restrictions, Walyalup Kannajil has moved to Replants.com on Wray Avenue, Fremantle which has been a lovely new partnership. Near the end of 2020 WK was able to perform at a number of metro events for free or low-fee, including Fremantle Four Choirs Concert, Day in the Forest (Mundaring), Voxlab (West Perth), Full Moon Drumming Circle (White Gum Valley), and also joining the Starlight Hotel Choir at their Freo Long Table fundraising event. Because of this support, Walyalup Kannajil has continued to engage the local Walyalup (Fremantle) community, via singing, to learn more about the local Whadjuk Noongar culture, history, and language, as well as directly engaging with Noongar community members. This was particularly important during the COVID-19 restrictions and we would like to thank all the Impact100 Fremantle donors for their support."

21.01.2022 We're delighted to have Sue take on the role of Executive Officer for the Fremantle Foundation. Sue‘s passion for Western Australia and her inspiration to help build stronger communities was born from her experience growing up in the remote southeast town of Esperance, where she was part of a large farming family who were very active in serving and bettering the local community. She has a special connection with Fremantle, which was the port of arrival for her parents-in-law..., who fled Europe in 1949, post-World War II, on the ship SS Anna Salen. https://www.linkedin.com/in/susan-stepatschuk #communitysupport #givingback #philanthropy #nonprofit #socialimpact

18.01.2022 These wonderful stories and connections are what Impact100 Fremantle is all about! "Earbus Foundation of WA has partnered with St. Patrick's Community Support C...entre in Fremantle to offer free, quarterly hearing clinics to homeless people who may have hearing loss. Earbus Foundation won the Impact100 Fremantle Award at the end of 2019 and it was through this that the relationship with St Pat’s first formed. Earbus provides experienced audiologists to run the clinic and offer homeless people the same high standard of care they would receive if they were a paying client. The new partnership started in October 2020 once COVID restrictions were eased and at the most recent April 2021 clinic 5 new clients attended and were assessed. Hearing loss can lead to social isolation and also be a significant barrier to employment so for homeless people it can compound already challenging circumstances. Earbus CEO Paul Higginbotham said We are in awe of the dedicated team at St Pat’s and the work they do. We are honoured to be able to assist. We're gearing up to launch Impact100 Fremantle again soon, keep an eye out on your inbox and socials for upcoming launch details!
