New acts to be able to get up play their one or two good songs rather than them having to fill a 20 minute set out. 2. Bands that are currently gigging and want to try out new material. 3. It also means that theres a place where all the great acts who have been around a while still have a place to belt it out in a world wheres it gets harder to get shows. The backline is inhouse (see attached) so its just a matter of plugging in. You can do anything from 1 song to a short set. You can also book consecutive weeks e.g. a 10 minute set at 8.40pm for 8 weeks The room is full as well so youll be playing to a crowd, not just your mates. Oh, and everyone gets a drink for playing. 18.01.2022 **Covid-19 Update 25.03.2020 We plan to continue operation of the studio for the current time but are implementing a few safety measures. -Microphones, pop filters and other shared items will be cleaned and disinfected between sessions.... -Social distancing measures (we operate inside a warehouse unit so we have ample space to do so and our recording room is able to fit a 6 person band in with everyone spaced 1.5m+ apart). -Hand sanitizer is available at the studio and we ask clients to wash their hands upon entering the premises. 16.01.2022 Sweet man Brian Mitra who suddenly and very sadly passed away from a medical condition very much not his own making lives on forevermore. To know a loving pers...on with that much face-value, immediately-perceivable openness is to know them and know them to be - forever. The recently Fremantle Council facillitated seat placed out front of Mojos Bar under the guidance of the Mitra family is the best place we can think of for those who knew Brian to sit and think of him well - as it is - a great place to sit and think of those others who we as individuals know dear who we can only be with through memory. Take a seat and think lovingly of those you want to spend time with when youre next in North Freo <3
