24.01.2022 Thursday afternoon’s healthy hot cross buns from last week - the children made and kneaded the dough . Once out of the oven, the buns disappeared very quickly!

12.01.2022 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child There is a sense of urgency about childhood- of hastening progress, of accelerating developmentBut children have their own pace, and while, as adults, we pursue our own (or others’) timelines and agendas, we need to be mindful of the need young children have to take their time. Pausing to listen to an airplane in the sky, stooping to watch a ladybug on a plant, sitting on the rocks to watch the waves crash over the quayside, children have their own agendas and timelines, as they find out more about their world and their place in it: they work hard not to let adults hurry them, and we need to hear their message. 07.01.2022 Thursday morning playgroup made some hot cross buns in their last session - many hands made light work, and many little hands eagerly reached for the buns, hot from the oven with a dollop of butter!
05.01.2022 Term 2 is nearly upon us! We have some spaces available in our beautiful Thursday afternoon group, which runs during term time from 12.15pm-2.15pm during term time. The first session is next week Thursday 22nd April. Thursday afternoon playgroup has traditionally been a little smaller at FSP than the morning sessions, but I have to say it’s a such a calm and welcoming group- it has a beautiful energy.
