Use Furniture Pads Scratches are some of the toughest problems to solve in wood floors. While some scratches are inevitable, others are definitely preventable. One of the best ways to prevent them is to add furniture pads to the legs of your chairs, sofas, tables, etc. Vacuum Weekly As painful as this one also sounds, weekly vacuuming is not only key to keeping your home clean, but also making sure any crumbs and dirt you missed while sweeping dont scratch your floors. 22.01.2022 Use a Completely Dry Cloth to finish off After you are done cleaning everything and the place is looking absolutely shiny, don’t leave it at that. Use a clean and dry cloth to wipe off the excess liquid from the surface. If you let the surfaces air dry, it could lead to visible cleaning traces that would be unattractive to look. Using a dry cloth will ensure that there are no water droplets to leave such marks.... When you are doing an intensive cleaning, don’t use the same dry cloth to clean the entire house. When the cloth has become a bit wet and dirty, dispose it off and use a new clean and dry cloth. For more tips like this, follow @freshbreezecleaning See more

19.01.2022 Get the Whole Family Involved. Yes, it is often actually easier to just do the job yourself, but spending the time to teach your children to do age appropriate jobs will be better in the long run for both of you. Start by just working on having your kids pick up after themselves putting their coat and shoes away when they come in the house, putting dishes in the dishwasher, cleaning their room, etc. Its amazing how much of a difference it can make in the ove...rall tidiness of the house if just these simple things are done. For the first few weeks that you do this, you will likely need to be on your kids a lot, but over time this will start to be a habit for them as well and it should eventually be able to be done with minimal reminders. Do a 15 minutes nightly clean-up. Make it a routine to do a family 15 minute nightly clean-up. For some reason it doesnt seem quite so bad to clean up when everyone else is doing the same thing. Put on the timer and just stick with the top cleaning priorities. Kids can clean their rooms or do other small household chores while you finish up the kitchen cleaning or fold and put away laundry. Start with the things that are making the biggest mess or creating a lot of clutter or any must dos that need to be done before bed. Follow @freshbreezecleaning for more cleaning tips like this! 18.01.2022 Keep your curtains away from dust and bad smelling Some draperies are simply too big, heavy or attached in a way that makes them basically stuck to your windows until its time to replace them. The process of taking them down, washing, pressing, drying and re-hanging them can become a full nightmare capable to ruin your whole day. Heres how to care easily for such curtains: 1. Vacuum and shake off dirt. There are two ways to battle the dust on draperies one is to vac...uum them like the dry-clean only ones. The other is to get a sturdy ladder, get to the top and shake them well, so the dust can fall and settle around the room, then vacuum the surroundings and wipe the dirty furniture. 2. Brush away lint. 3. Certain fabrics attract huge amounts of lint and pet hair. If the vacuum doesnt take care of them, try a lint roller or brush. 4. Clean the windows.Curtains often get dirty and dusty from poorly maintained windows, so make sure to clean those regularly as well. Dont spray the windows directly, because detergent and dust will mix and get stuck to the curtain, making it dirtier. Instead, spray the cloth and then apply to the window panels. 5. Air out.Its important to let your curtains breathe, not only after cleaning but regularly during your weekly routines, as well. Exposing them to fresh air limits mould growth and prevents the stale smell. Follow us @freshbreezecleaning to see more tips like this

11.01.2022 Organise your Kitchen in 6 Steps - Declutter the cabinets: Empty all your kitchen cabinets and comb through the contents. Sort them by throwing out every broken or duplicate item you dont need. Sometimes youll be surprised how much-unneeded stuff you keep. - Devise a system: Now that everything is on the bench, think about how to group these items. With the plates and dishes, consider having an additional group for those which are for special occasions and thus rar...ely used. - Implement the system: Everything is sorted out. Now it needs a place to be stored in. Your baking and cooking pieces should be near to the spot you prepare food at. Same goes for utensils. A great idea is to make yourself a beverage corner that includes everything you need to make coffee, tea, or any other drink that you regularly consume. - Containers are your friends: Containers will help prevent your cabinets turning into a cluttered mess. Use them to group together things such as ingredients, sauce mixes, etc. It will save you a lot of time and the cabinets wont require decluttering as often. - Use vertical space: You can use sticky hooks on the inside of your pantry doors to hold small things like measuring cups or other cooking doovalackies. Any space you can use to hang something on will free horizontal storing space for the things you cant hang. - Food: Whenever you take out the trash, make time to clean your fridge as well. We tend to keep items that are no longer needed in the fridge for longer than advised. Cleaning the fridge takes a minimal amount of time, but its important. 10.01.2022 How to Clean a Stainless Steel Stove Stainless steel appliances look best when theyre spotless and sparkling but it can be kinda tricky to maintain and may get damaged if not cleaned correctly. In order to clean your stainless steel cooktop properly, without damaging it you will have to learn to use the right solution and how to use it. Vinegar with Bicarb Soda and a pinch of detergent its one of the best natural cleaners you can have, simple, effective, and it can ...do miracles when it comes to removing grease, stains, burnt, rust, etc. What Should You Avoid When Cleaning Your Stainless Steel Stove? While stainless steel is an extremely durable material, it can be damaged quite easy by the wrong cleaning chemicals and materials. So what should you never use? Bleach: it contains chlorine, which doesnt go well with stainless steel because of its corrosive properties to metal. Abrasive cleaners and cleaning pads: Avoid using ammonia, alcohol, and hard water as they may damage the protective layer of the steel surface. Materials, such as steel wool and steel brushes, can scratch the surface. Make sure you always use soft sponges and cloths. Remember! The more frequently you give your cooking device a good wipe, the less often you will need to spend time and effort on deep cleaning it. See more

09.01.2022 Cleaning Mistakes Youre Making in Your Kitchen Theres nothing nicer than having a clean kitchen: sparkling pots and pans, all your cupboards in order, surfaces wiped and plates away. But did you know that most of us arent doing it right, at all, and were not using the right products? Here are four common cleaning mistakes youre probably making right now. Using dirty sponges... You probably already know this, even if you dont admit it, but the kitchen sponge is probably the dirtiest thing in your house. To disinfect the sponges, you should boil them, put them in the dishwasher or place them in some water and microwave them for a couple of minutes. It should be done at least once a week, and dont forget to replace them every two months or so. Not cleaning the fridge Your fridge can be a major health hazard, especially if you dont store your food properly. Meat, fish and dairy, all need to be kept separately, preferably in airtight containers and you need to be vigilant about spoilage, wipe away spills immediately, and once a month you really should empty the fridge completely and give it a good scrub. Spraying detergents directly on surfaces Not all surfaces benefit from large amounts of acidic detergents, and the direct spraying can leave streaks and smudges, as well as residue. As a rule, you should avoid spraying directly onto things like electronics, electrical sockets, wooden surfaces and porous tiles. Instead, spray a small amount of the detergent onto a microfibre cloth and wipe the surface this way. Using paper towels for everything Paper towels are very practical, easy to use, and they are usually available in every kitchen. But they can be heavy on the budget and the environment, and they also tear easily or leave lint on some surfaces. Follow us @freshbreezecleaning and get daily cleaning tips that will make your life easier. See more

09.01.2022 How To Free The Carpet From Pet Urine Naturally Living with a furry friend can be both fun and beneficial. A common problem among pet owners is the cleaning. A wet stain combined with unpleasant odour can turn the cleaning into a nightmare. Store-bought detergents can’t always help and they tend to leave a distinctive chemical smell of their own. There are, however, eco-friendly alternatives that you can consider. We are not talking about the costly green products that... most stores are selling. There are all kinds of homemade cleaning recipes you can test instead. They require few simple ingredients, minimum effort and provide results that will make you want to try them again. Why is it so important to use natural cleaning products instead of chemical ones? - Good results for less money - Protecting the environment - Not having to worry about your pet’s health - Thorough removing of dog and cat urine stains - Carpet disinfection and odour elimination at the same time - Sparing the fabric of your carpet from strong chemical cleaners White vinegar and baking soda: being a strong acid itself, vinegar can serve as effective cat urine remover. Using a towel or paper, try to absorb as much of the urine as possible. It’s important to do this because it will prevent deeper penetration of the fluid into the carpet. Vinegar and essential oils: when you catch your four-legged friend in the act, there’s one simple solution. Combination of vinegar, lukewarm water and essential oil! You can go with the citrus scent again or you can try mint. For some reason, dogs can’t tolerate this particular odour. As a bonus, the mint scent will make them think twice before marking the carpet again. For more tips like this, follow @freshbreezecleaning See more

09.01.2022 Huge Benefits To Regularly Cleaning Your Home Productivity: Studies have shown that clean and tidy environments foster a productive mindset. Just think about it: if you can easily find and use things, its easier to focus on the important things. Having a clean home helps you concentrate and be successful. Piece of Mind: modern life can be stressful, to say the least, so its especially important to have a peaceful environment at home. You want to be able to relax, ...and leave the chaos outside. A clean and tidy home will help achieve a sense of calm and comfort. But not only is it beneficial for your living space to be clean, the actual process of cleaning it can help you relax as well. Cleaning Will be Easier: Instead of letting all the chores pile up for weeks, cleaning and tidying regularly will significantly reduce the workload. Wipe away the spillage before it dries and needs scrubbing. Wash the dishes before it becomes necessary to soak them. If you do little bits at a time, the task of cleaning your home will never become too daunting. Avoid Allergies and Sickness: Dust, mites, pet dander, mildew, and other allergens can thrive in the household and are known to cause cold and flu-like symptoms. 08.01.2022 Knowing how to clean walls and ceilings will reduce the amount of dust floating around in your home and make any room look better. It is a good idea to clean your ceilings first since dust falling from them will settle onto the walls. Ceilings don’t need to be cleaned as often as walls, though, so it’s okay to do them less often. Cleaning ceilings:... Rather than climbing up and down a ladder repeatedly, use a long-handled duster with a microfiber attachment to remove dust. Stubborn dirt, like the kind which forms around ceiling fans, can be easily removed with a long-handled paint roller wrapped with duct tape, sticky side out. Cleaning Walls: The first step in cleaning walls is dusting them. Once you’ve removed the dust, it’s time to clean the surface. If possible, pull furniture toward the center of the room so you can clean behind it. Otherwise, you may want to lay towels or sheets on top of furnishings to protect them from drips. The best way to clean your walls even if there are some stains is with a magic eraser, which looks like a sponge but cleans like magic. Use with some water squeeze the excess and apply on desire spots. Always have some dry cloth to not leave marks on. @freshbreezecleaning See more

07.01.2022 How to Clean Reusable Food Storage Containers As with any food preparation or storage product, the containers should be cleaned after every use. If the containers become stained or begin to feel sticky, a more thorough cleaning will be needed. Daily Cleaning - Fill a sink or small tub with hot water and add a few drops of a good dishwashing liquid that contains a degreaser. Submerge the containers and allow them to soak for two or three m...inutes. Use a non-abrasive sponge or dishcloth to wipe down the inside and outside of the bags. Rinse well with hot water and invert over a drying rack to air-dry. Use a Dishwasher - Rinse out the containers with warm or cold water to remove loose food particles. Place the containers upside down on the top rack of the dishwasher so the water from the spray arms can reach the interior surfaces. Use your regular dishwasher detergent and cycle. After several uses, the containers may feel sticky or if the bags are used with foods like tomato sauce that leave stains, the storage containers will need a bit more cleaning than a quick wash. 1. Mix a Cleaning Solution: In a small bowl, mix one-part distilled white vinegar, one-part lemon juice, and two parts baking soda to create a thin paste. NOTE: the mixture will foam a bit so don't overfill the bowl! Apply and allow the paste to work for around 15 minutes. Rinse and dry. See more

06.01.2022 Mold spores are everywhere around us, in every type of climate. Mold is fungi and some types are extremely beneficial to mankind (think of penicillin), while others can be quite dangerous to crops, respiratory systems, and the integrity of structures. Products That Kill Mold Chlorine bleach: Sodium hypochlorite or regular household bleach works best to destroy mold and remove any discoloration. It is quite harsh and should be diluted bef...ore using. Hydrogen peroxide: Less harsh than chlorine bleach, hydrogen peroxide (three to 10 percent solution) will kill mold and lighten stains. While it does have a bleaching effect, it works more slowly than chlorine bleach but has no toxic fumes or residue. Distilled white vinegar: Vinegar is acidic and slowly breaks down the structure of mold and kills it. Vinegar is non-toxic but mold stains may remain and additional scrubbing with a household cleaner may be needed. Baking soda and borax: Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and borax each have a high pH that inhibits the growth and survival of mold. Both products are inexpensive, non-toxic, and easy to mix with water. Borax will work better in removing any lingering stains but not as effectively as a stronger cleaning product. * When using any of these products, do not rinse away the cleaning solution completely. Leaving a bit of the cleaner will help inhibit future mold growth. For extensive mold problems, consider hiring a professional. Some molds are highly toxic and even less dangerous molds can cause problems for anyone with mold allergies or compromised respiratory systems. See more

Its recommend avoiding bleach as it could affect the quality, or discolor any color on the towels. - Use no more than the suggested detergent amount. This is especially important for white towels. Overdoing it on the laundry detergent can lead to your towels turning a slight grey-ish color, losing their bright white hue. - Unfortunately, even with the best care, towels dont last forever. Most regularly used towels will have to be replaced after 1-2 years. For more home and cleaning tips like this, follow us @freshbreezecleaning See more

05.01.2022 How to Clean a Stainless Steel Sink? Kitchen sinks should be cleaned after each time they are used for food preparation to remove any bacteria and food particles that may linger on the surface. With regular daily cleaning, a deeper clean should only be needed about once a week. Laundry room and outdoor sinks should also be cleaned regularly. Daily Cleaning:... Rinse Well: After preparing food, rinsing, or washing dishes, rinse down the sink well with hot water. Use the faucet's spray attachment or fill a cup with hot water to move all the food bits and dishwashing residue to the sink drain. If you have an in-sink garbage disposal, turn it on during the rinsing process to make sure that the drain does not become clogged. Do a Quick Clean: Place a couple of drops of dishwashing liquid on a damp non-abrasive sponge or dishcloth. Use the soapy sponge to clean away stubborn bits of stuck-on food. If the sink is an under-the-counter installation, be sure to wipe under the rim of the counter to remove splattered bits. Rinse the sink surfaces one more time. Dry With a Microfiber Cloth: One way to keep the sink looking shiny and to prevent water spots from minerals is to dry the sink thoroughly after each cleaning. Use a microfiber cloth because it is lint-free, absorbs water well, and dries quickly. Weekly Deeper Cleaning: Rinse Well: Using the faucet's spray arm or a cup and hot water, start at the top of the sink and rinse away any residue on the sides and bottom of the sink. To clean the faucet, dampen the fixture with a cloth. Coat With Baking Soda: Sprinkle dry baking soda on every surface including the faucet area. It should stick easily to damp surfaces. Baking soda is a gentle abrasive that will help remove stuck-on food and cut through greasy residue. It also acts as an odor remover to freshen the sink's drain.
