23.01.2022 Setting up the fresh air intakes for the heater boxes with this 36hp fan housing, 50mm down pipe pops make for the perfect adapter, little bit of mesh added to keep the sparrows out and some rivets to hold it all in place

23.01.2022 And here is where the in-line 75mm fan is placed, secured to the cross member, sealed with three runs of foil tape and then the insulation wrap re installed, I’ve also added an additional clamp on the longer length of tube for additional support, this 12v fan will pump some good air flow into the cab now

21.01.2022 @chris_marsden’s 69 #earlybay engine almost ready to install, this engine supplied needed some donor tin from the old engine, a thorough scrubbing of the tin and heater boxes then some flanges added to line up with the new exhaust, heat risers on the rear tin shaved, to keep the engine bay looking super neat there’s a tube fan going into the main duct under the floor with just a couple of tidy mesh screens on the rear tin where clean air will be drawn from

19.01.2022 I always like to get an engine running on the bench prior to doing an install, I don’t know how long this 1500 single port engine has been sitting around waiting for another life but after fitting a few missing parts, cleaning out the carburetor, roughing in some 12v items she fired up and is running sweet, if you see my test light just to the right of the fan housing (which I have clipped to to oil pressure switch and probed into the positive of the jump cable) you can see how long the engine holds oil pressure for after shutting down which is a good sign too A few more items to assemble to the engine including the clutch and trans then onto the car with a full rewire and brake overhaul #freshkustoms #56doubledoor

15.01.2022 Big thanks to our friends @australianvwperformance for reconditioning this long axle trans ready to install in a 56 Double door panel heading in next week, already sitting on our front beam and flipped spindle assembly with one of our #freshkustoms straight axle kits going in the rear, this bus has changed hands a few times since the Resto was started years ago by others, we are looking forward to doing the last lot of work needed to get this cool car on the road

09.01.2022 Another #latebay #kombi dialed in and riding ever so nicely now This bus came in sitting a bit lower in the rear after the rear had been indexed down one spline, with a new set of 2.5 Empi drop spindles up front and one of our rear #freshkustoms #dropplate kits on the rear together with full set of #koni adjustable shocks all round its now sitting pretty

09.01.2022 Adding some aluminum fine hole mesh to tidy up the engine bay sound suppression cards, quick clean up of the cards which are warped from moisture but still good, quick hit with some Matt black and the mesh helps to pin it all in place
