20.01.2022 Our hearts go out to our community brothers and sisters in the lowlands who have lost crops, livestock, machinery and homes. Please give your neighbours a hand where needed and support our Hawkesbury community as much as possible. We have seen a number of these events from 20+ years ago. We are fortunate where we are and floods are an inconvenience but to those downhill and downstream in Colo It’s devastating.... We all need to pull together especially when the clean-up part comes and not forget as soon as the bridge reopens, what affect this has on the well-being of our neighbours. 18.01.2022 Hey folks. We just freshened up our 2 vegie gardens by ripping out some stuff that we weren’t using and was looking pretty tired. Our family is chewing it’s way through a steady supply of snap peas, spring onions, lettuce, spinach, herbs and rocket. Not to mention the amazing oranges, lemons and mandies. ... The carrots, broccoli and cauliflower are nearly ready too. The nursery needs to make some room for our next batches this week. We’re selling off our current batch of vegie punnets at half price 5 punnets for $10 ( there’s 10-20 plantlets/ punnet.) Grab a bargain that will save you $$$ and make you eat better too.

17.01.2022 Hello everybody. We’re going to run a stall at Sciberras Produce this Saturday. 8:30-1:00 Great timing for Fathers Day!... Seedlings Tomatoes, strawberry, eggplant etc Potted colour Herbs Geraniums, daisies and other shrubs Hanging baskets And other goodies.

16.01.2022 Flags are flying at half mast this week. Ray Sloss has been a great part of our lives and a dear friend and mentor for over 20 years. If you’ve ever been to Richmond, Clarendon, Springwood and Penrith markets, then I’m sure you would have heard Ray’s booming voice as he tended his plant stall. If they ever need a picture in the dictionary for the word ‘Proactive’ then Ray’s would be perfect. Everything he did he put a huge amount of himself into (including a ridiculous amount... of regular blood donations, a stack of community work, taking on councils and state governments against over development and he was a founding member of the Minchinbury Jets Rugby league club which Blacktown council has just named a field in his honour.) Ray not only has been one of our biggest customers throughout the years, he has also helped us out when needed and offered sage advice and guidance. What I will miss most is the jovial sparring and world changing conversations; a regular highlight of his visits. Ray was battling with brain cancer and passed on Saturday night. My deepest sympathy to Jacqui Goddard and Ray’s children. Love you Ray..... you are forever in our memories.
