To circumvent the ...long sea freight time they have kindly donated the cost of air freight ($1400.00) to P.S.Curlip Inc. The guys are qualified shipwrights and are going to deliver the 6000 fasteners personally by road from Queensland, and then spend a few days helping fix the planks. 18.01.2022 With the set back in our Pick My Project submission being rejected,the P.S.Curlip Inc Committee can now announce we have appointed Paynesville local, Gary Smith... Shipwright Services to commence the underwater planking of Paddle Steamer Curlip's hull. Our 6000 silicon bronze hex screws are on their way. Our Brisbane supplier is also coming on board to sponsor a part of this expensive component. (Announcement to come) The replacement works will be supervised by our AMSA qualified Marine surveyor and naval archeitect Paul Bury from Metung. P.S.Curlip Inc will take this funding set back in our stride and look forward to the continued support of our very loyal and committed supporters. I can't even to begin venting my anger, so much wasted time and effort. See more
