24.01.2022 Weddings are the best (especially when you are a guest). I've been to many weddings and they are ALWAYS SO MUCH FUN! I never thought I'd end up shooting weddings as a profession, but when you think about it, it's a no brainer as everyone is there just for a good time! Why wouldn't you?! That's when I thought, I should focus my energy into capturing weddings. Even though, I'm on the other side, they are so much fun to shoot. I always feel privileged when a couple asks m...e to shoot their wedding as it's a very personal experience for them. I love to shoot with the focus of capturing everything from start to finish, so my clients have a visual record that's captured and created into a story. It's highly likely you won't remember every bit of detail and that's where I step in. Just remember if you are getting married; it's so important you get as much imagery as possible. It's all about having as much content to share with your family and friends. You want your imagery to trigger your memory and emotions from that special day for as long as you live. A couple of weeks later they had their surprise wedding! 12.01.2022 This couple Jill and Stuart were great to hang out with last Monday morning. We all met at their place at 6:00am so we could get those lovely pastel colour skies and those deep blues in the ocean down on the beach at the Coogee Power Station. Well... It didn't quite work out like that. It was overcast! Either way the lighting was consistently great. If you can twist your clients arms to do this on a day when no one is around and get stunning light, this is the way forward!

06.01.2022 Just over a couple of weeks ago, I was down near Rockingham with Anthony and Gemma. Thanks to COVID, they decided to elope rather than waiting another year for their wedding. They were actually meant to get married in Melbourne on the first of May this year, so they have postponed it until next year. I'm so excited I get to fly to Melbourne to document this great couple! It all started from a promo I organised on Facebook a couple of years ago. I did a couple shoot with their dog Moseby and now the rest is history. Well not totally, as there's more to come next year!

06.01.2022 Weddings are epic in every way! For the bride and groom there's SO much to be organised from booking a venue to booking a Photographer (they are probably the two most important things to book)! There's obviously a lot of stuff in-between that's important that we also don't see such as creating a guest list, invitations, hair and make-up, dresses, suits, catering, cake, celebrant, ceremony props and the list goes on... The Photographer checks in every now and then whilst all... the behind the scenes stuff keep happening. Once the wedding is over, I suppose everything is finished apart from the editing side from the Photographer / Videographer. There's countless amounts of hours that goes into editing someone's wedding. You end up doing more hours editing than you do shooting at the wedding. I suppose you get the best of both worlds as a Wedding Photographer. You get the crazy, busy times of capturing the wedding, then you have a calm environment editing the images you captured (but when you have twin toddlers, I wouldn't say always calm)!
