22.01.2022 We woke this morning to very dramatic footage of a catastrophic explosion in Beirut, Lebanon. News is now starting to surface that many of those killed were fir...efighters from the surrounding area who were dealing with the initial fire- which lead to the explosion. As a department with Lebanese emigrants currently working today in stations across NSW we keep these firefighters as well as their city and their country in our thoughts. See more

21.01.2022 FAIRFIELD EAST | We currently have a number of crews responding to a 6th alarm factory fire on Fairfield St, Fairfield East. Crews from Fire and Rescue NSW Sta...tion 055 Guildford arrived on scene first just before 4pm to find the factory fully engulfed in flames. Fairfield St has been closed to traffic in both directions. Firefighting efforts are still ongoing, please exercise caution if you are driving through the area. #PreparedForAnything #FRNSW #MoreThanFire

05.01.2022 Animal Rescue at Guidford- Elias the dog came off second best after an incident with a passing vehicle. After a call from his distressed owner, the crew from Guildford Fire Station were called to the rescue. After a challenging rescue operation, a scared Elias was eventually extracted from under his house so his owner could take him to the vet for some treatment. ... Elias is expected to make a full recovery.
