25.01.2022 Took an unusual 'tour' today with Loui and her kids. We were clearing blackberry from Smiths Creek. Astounded how much they ate in that hour. I wore my COVID mask but unsure how many goats or sheep you can meet although they are one family. Better check with Dan.

21.01.2022 HISTORY MYSTERY #5: One of Melbourne's oddest stencils is on the 1890 money order building and former parliamentary offices on Lt Bourke Street near Elizabeth. Its purpose is unclear but may link to the wartime property confiscation or even detention of unfortunate residents of 'enemy' lineage eg Italian, German, Japanese etc. Not Australia's finest hour.

15.01.2022 I recommend this booklet on the medicinal, nutritional and technological use of plants, Zena Cumpston, Living Pavilion, Melbourne University 2020 https://pursuit.unimelb.edu.au//illuminating-indigenous-cu https://nespurban.edu.au//uploads/2020/08/Indigenous-plant

11.01.2022 Where we we be without the beach? Can one explore it without going there? https://stkildamelbourne.com.au//Foreshore_Trail_Map_Web_V

10.01.2022 History Mystery #4: What was the weird tunnel (arrow/inset) excavated from the early Little Lon village around 50 Lonsdale Street in 2005? We were excited! Speculation ranged from a bombproof dugout by the Yanks in World War Two to an early Telstra testing tunnel (why is Telstra so boring?)
