25.01.2022 Our thoughts are with Mark's family, the crew at 077, and his Museum family. Mark was instrumental in assisting with not only our centenary celebration, but every station as they celebrate such milestones. His passion for brigade history is astounding, and he'll be missed by many.

23.01.2022 This afternoon Firefighters from Camden were called to assist WIRES after a baby Water Hen became separated from its mother and stuck in a drain in Camden South. Firefighters were able to successfully retrieve the baby from the drain, mum and bubs were happily reunited shortly afterwards, and are off on their way for the night.

21.01.2022 ASBESTOS INCIDENT I #BickleyVale At 11:31am today Fire and Rescue NSW Communications centre received calls from Camden Council rangers to illegally dumped asbes...tos on Dowels Lane Buckley Vale. Fire & Rescue NSW Station 248 Camden were responded and on arrival found sheets of corrogated asbestos sheeting and an amount of other asbestos illegally dumped at the site. Fire and Rescue NSW crews wearing protective clothing and respiratory protection worked to contain and remove the asbestos. The site has now been rendered safe and Camden Council rangers are investigating the incident.

19.01.2022 HOUSE FIRE I #NarellanVale A working #SmokeAlarm has woken the occupant and saved a life. #OneMetreFromTheHeater ... At 1139pm last night our #RescuePumper was responded by Fire and Rescue NSW 000 along with Fire & Rescue NSW Station 248 Camden to reports of a house fire in #AcaciaCircuit Narellan Vale. #FRNSW responded and arrived on scene in less than 7 minutes to find a fire in a residential home. Firefighters wearing structural firefighting ensemble and breathing apparatus quickly got to work, extinguishing the blaze, ventilated the property. A fast response by crews prevented further damage and contained the fire to area of origin. 13.01.2022 Last Sunday, some Fire Stations across Sydney experienced one of their busiest days on record. As a significant rain event hovered over Sydney and parts of NSW for an extended period of time, our Communications Centres were taking thousands of 000 calls, and dispatching resources to assist wherever required. Fire Trucks from Sydney, Newcastle & Wollongong converged on the Metro and surrounding areas for hours, attending to thousands of incidents.... Here is a run down of where we spent our afternoon & evening. While we were out Fire and Rescue NSW Station 093 Narellan , Fire and Rescue NSW Station 088 Campbelltown , and Narellan Rural Fire Brigade (RFS) continued to provide fire coverage and attend incidents in the surrounding areas. Big shout to the guys and girls at Sydney Fire Communications - Fire Rescue NSW - 801 Station , and Newcastle Comms for their incredible efforts as well!

03.01.2022 248 welcomes 3 new recruits this week, after the completion of their initial training at the Emergency Services Academy. RetFF's Bracken, McPherson & Dixon will commence turning out with us from tomorrow. They've been apart of our team for quite a few months already, learning the administrative side of the job, prior to completing their practical training.
