23.01.2022 TRUCK ROLLOVER | #tichborne 21/11, 10:50hrs- Pumper 417, 417B, NSW RFS - Parkes Headquarters Brigade, NSW RFS -Tichborne Brigade, NSW Ambulance Paramedics, Officers from Central West Police District and Traffic and Highway Patrol Command - NSW Police Force were called to a Truck Rollover on Millers Lane. On arrival, crews found a truck loaded with an excavator that had rolled onto it's side. ... RFS crews set up fire protection while our crews worked on stopping a fuel leak. A team from Parkes Shire Council were called in for traffic management. Fire crews remained in attendance until Orange Heavy Towing could remove the truck. We'd also like to thank Fire and Rescue NSW Station 294 Forbes for covering our area while we were at the incident. Also to Fire Rescue New South Wales Dubbo 280 Retained for exchanging our used air cylinders from incidents we've attended over the last few days. 19.01.2022 For the month of November, Fire and Rescue NSW stations will be conducting rescue training to ensure we are #preparedforanything. Last night, our crews covered Motor Vehicle Accidents and the equipment we can use to extricate casualties.

19.01.2022 7/11, 2113hrs- Pumper 417 and Officers from Central West Police District were called to a Motor Vehicle Accident on Peak Hill Road. On arrival, crews found two vehicles that had been involved parked on the side of the road. The drivers had already started exchanging details and no brigade action was required.

13.01.2022 Busy 24 hours for fire crews across the Central West. 11/11, 0055hrs- Pumper 417B was called to assist crews at the Manildra Four Mill fire, however were given a code 2 (no longer required) a short time later. 11/11, 0759hrs- Pumper 417 was called to assist NSW Ambulance Paramedics with a patient lift.... 11/11, 1835hrs- Pumper 417 was called to a Grass Fire in Woodward Street. Crews arrived and found a small fire burning beneath a power pole. Crews extinguished the fire.

09.01.2022 8/11, 1106hrs- Pumper 417, 417B, NSW Ambulance Paramedics and Officers from Central West Police District were called to a Motor Vehicle Accident in Porter Street. On arrival, crews found a single vehicle that had reversed into a tree. With fire protection in place, crews remained in attendance until a tow truck could remove the vehicle.

07.01.2022 2/5 at 10:41am Pump 417 were called to a tree fire on Salesyards rd. On arrival we found the tree was on fire in the middle of a paddock that was part of the hazard reduction burn from yesterday. RFS crews were on scene and it was deemed too dangerous to fell the tree. The tree was being left to burn out whilst RFS members remained on scene to monitor.... 04.01.2022 20/11, 1144hrs- Pumper 417 was called to assist NSW Ambulance Paramedics with a patient lift. 21/11, 0030hrs- Pumper 417, 417B and Officers from Central West Police District were called to a Car Fire in Grenfell Street. Crews found a vehicle with fire engulfing the rear of the vehicle, crews in breathing apparatus got to work extinguishing the vehicle. 21/11, 0133hrs- Pumper 417, 417B, NSW RFS - Parkes Headquarters Brigade, Officers from Central West Police District and NSW A...mbulance Paramedics were called to a House Fire at a Grain Storage Site on the Eugowra Road, Parkes. On arrival, crews found a house that had suffered minor damage from an exhaust fan that had caught fire in the kitchen. Crews in breathing apparatus checked the roof space for smoke or hot spots, with nothing found atmospheric readings were taken to ensure the house could be reoccupied. Thankfully the Site Manager was made aware of the incident quickly and extinguished the fire and evacuated all of the workers before our arrival. Essential Energy were also in attendance. 03.01.2022 417 members are assisting with a hazard reduction burn at the back of the industrial estate in Parkes One of those members is FF Nicole Varcoe. Today she is celebrating 21years of service with Fire and Rescue. This is a great achievement. We thank Nicole on behalf of the community for what she has done over her time in the brigade.
