24.01.2022 I welcome the passing of this important piece of legislation and look forward to debating it in the Lower House. The proposal removes abortion entirely from the criminal law a move that would bring us in line with all other Australian states and territories. This is a based on the understanding that it is a medical procedure which should be treated like any other health issue.

22.01.2022 We’re making the process of getting a test as convenient, quick and safe as possible. If you have cold and flu symptoms, there’s plenty of ways to get tested - including our biggest drive-through facility that opened at Victoria Park this week. Testing is one of the best ways that SA can stay ahead of the curve.

08.01.2022 Fantastic to officially open the completely upgraded Mt Lofty Walking trail this morning! If you're looking for a great walk to do, we've got you sorted The trail suffered significant storm damage in September 2016.... It's been a mammoth effort to get this trail back up to scratch. Works included: - 220m of elevated boardwalks material delivered via helicopter - 3km of exposed aggregate concrete trail installed, 200 tonnes delivered via helicopter - Creek-bank reinstated - Replacement of signage - Revegetation This upgrade will reduce the impact of future storm events and improve the experience for users.

04.01.2022 Forensic Science South Australia (FSSA) now has a dedicated, on-site CT scanner! The new scanner will help to reduce post mortem report wait times and ease delays in the justice system. There are currently more than 1200 post mortem reports waiting to be completed in SA, 30 per cent over nine months old and 15 per cent over 12 months old.... We know that this is too long for families and loved ones to wait for answers. That’s why we’ve acted to address this, and funded this much-needed resource! Thank you to the wonderful team at FSSA for all of the important work you do for South Australians!

If our Victorian neighbours can slow the spread it benefits us.... Today, the first contingent of nurses will fly to Victoria to help combat the outbreak of COVID-19 in aged-care facilities.
