25.01.2022 Children are forever learning and absorbing their surroundings. Our words play a significant role in their learning and by reframing our language from 'problem... focused' to 'solution focused', it empowers children to be confident and develop a positive growth mindset. 23.01.2022 Are you going through a transformation or transition in your life? Nature holds wisdom to help us through all stages of our messy, perfectly imperfect moments. We are here to help you to connect to this wisdom.

21.01.2022 Just a reminder... #ReadAloud15

18.01.2022 Nature offers so many opportunities for reflection. Like us, caterpillars go through through many transitional stages to grow into the moths and butterflies they become. All without rushing from one stage to the next, but with a pause for reflection and preparation for each transformation. Each step necessary for the final stage. Thank you to The Dodo for sharing this video.

17.01.2022 Crying is a vital part of keeping a child’s emotional and nervous system in-check and regulated. The hard part for many parents is weathering the storm; crying ...is often very uncomfortable for parents because they can feel judged or out of control. Often the tears were not allowed in their own childhood, so hearing their child’s tears triggers a deep hurt within them. As hard as it can be, make room for the tears. What comes up must eventually come down- and once it does you will have your little boy or little girl back for the better. As my 4 year son always says after a meltdown, I feel better now mommy.

09.01.2022 Our window of tolerance refers to how much space we have to be present, to be productive, to be creative and to give to others. During periods of stress the arch shrinks and we either shut down or blow up. Be gentle with yourself and with your children. Graphic Credit: #lindsaybraman

09.01.2022 Being imaginative and thinking creatively are part of good problem solving. Being able to solve problems or think of alternative solutions develop everyday life... skills. A cardboard box gives a baby endless play opportunities to support these skills including: Spatial/body awareness - babies learn where their bodies are in space and adjust themselves accordingly, leading to overall body confidence and coordination. Coordination - manoeuvring their bodies to crawl in/out/up is a fantastic way for babies to develop coordination. Gross motor skills - the box invites babies and toddlers to move and navigate their bodies in different ways. Social/emotional skills - boxes can prompt spontaneous games of peekaboo between children and adults. Here, early childhood trained E M M A Play At Home Mummy created an easy peekaboo box using a cardboard box and scissors. See more

04.01.2022 Check out this amazing Vernix covering this newborn bub Some interesting info about Vernix.... It is produced by dedicated cells and is thought to have some ...protective roles during fetal development and for a few hours after birth. It's this coating that protects an unborn baby's skin from the fluid. Without this protection, a baby's skin would chap or wrinkle in the womb. The vernix caseosa contributes to babies having soft skin after birth. It also protects your baby's skin from infections while in the womb. Amazing bodies! #aboutbirthonline #vernix #laelandjules #newborn #onlinebirtheducation #oxytocin #positivebirth #birtheducation See more
