22.01.2022 Check out this restoration Our apprentice Braith, was looking for something to do over the weekend while being responsible and staying at home. He took to his grandfathers old grease gun to give it some TLC. It is only a grease gun, but is a prime example of how passionate our team are at pulling things apart, fixing them and making them as good as new. I dont know about you, but I think he has done an outstanding job. This is the sort of attention to detail you can expe...ct when you bring your vehicle to Frontline Maintenance. Well done Braith, keep up the good work! See more

22.01.2022 Did you know, some oils and fluids in your car need to be serviced based on time no matter how few kilometers youve actually done. There is a good reason too. For example: Brake fluid should be changed every 2 years as it is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture from the air. Because we live in such a humid environment this is even more crucial. Moisture in your brake fluid can cause the water molecules to boil off into steam which results in your brake pedal being spongy or worst case, going straight to the floor. As you can imagine this can be fairly catastrophic. If youre not sure when your brake fluid was changed last, have it flushed for peace of mind at your next service. It is an inexpensive exercise that could save you and your loved ones.

20.01.2022 Its time for Frontline Maintenance to dust off their bikes Thank you to the Mackay and Districts Mountain Bike Club, who recently approached us to sponsor their club by way of maintaining their equipment. This brush cutter is the first job they have given us. It was brought in because it would not start. We gave it a full service and engine tune up, replaced the spark plug, greased the gearbox and gave it a good test run before giving it a wash and returning ...it to the club in A1 condition. While this isnt what we would normally work on, we are happy to have been able to help and do our bit to support the club. If youve ever though about giving mountain biking a go, head to their Facebook page for more details about where to ride. There are mountain bike trails for all ages and all abilities. Youll be surprised how much fun you can have while exercising! https://www.facebook.com/madmtbc/

19.01.2022 This first photo is a good example of how your tyres may appear in good condition from the outside but are dangerously worn on the inside. This can be caused by under inflation, poor wheel alignment and in some cases even uneven vehicle weight distribution. Your tyres will have wear indicators as shown in the second photo. When any part of your tread wears down so that it is level with the wear indicator, your tyres are now worn out and are no longer legal. Here at Frontline maintenance, we rotate your tyres, adjust the tyre pressures and will tell you if your vehicle requires a wheel alignment to prolong the life of your tyres to ultimately save you money.

We welcomed back Guest Speaker and Life Coach Ross OReilly from the Rosslyn Bay Wellness Resort for this event. Ross focused on things such as building a strong mind, becoming your best possible self, teamwork, ambition and the 7 basic human needs. We were also fortunate to have Tony Carboon as our seco...nd Guest Speaker educating us about financial literacy. Tony explained the importance of financial wellbeing - The ability for people to manage their finances to reduce stress and increase security. The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is now. A hugely successful day, and year, for us all with the results speaking for themselves. These conferences helped with awareness and attitude towards making a very significant change regarding safety, and its all thanks to our valued and dedicated employees. See more

13.01.2022 What do you think the best car ever made is and why If you your car or you think theres a car out there thats better than our pick, let us know and tell us your experience owning or driving it At Frontline, We think it is the KUN26 Hilux 3.0L Diesel.... Frontline have tried and tested over 150 of these right from the first 2005 model through to the last 2015 model and still have a few in our fleet now. They really are a well engineered and built car. When serviced correctly they seldom ever break down and the parts that get replaced on them are only wear and tear items. They are suprising comfortable to drive for a 4WD. The cupholders in front of the A/C vents keep your drinks cool. The square pockets in the centre console are the perfect shape and size to hold your noodle box . They also arent too bad on fuel and have enough grunt for most applications. See more

02.01.2022 Is the right engine oil being used in your car These days, there is no such thing as "one oil suits all". In times gone by the oil selected for your car was based on the ambient temperature of where you lived, whether your car was a petrol or a diesel and maybe the type of driving you did.... The first and most important consideration for vehicle manufacturers when building an engine for their new vehicle these days is EMISSIONS. Manufacturers can reduce their emmisions by: - increasing fuel economy. - increasing engine power characteristics. - decreasing the time it takes for the engine to reach optimum running temperature and once reached, maintaining that temperature as precisely as possible. - decreasing parasitic load on the engine. Engine oil plays a vital role in each of these situations, and so the engine is very much built around the oil that is designed to be used in it. with the wrong oil you could be costing yourself hundreds of dollars a year in fuel due to reduced fuel economy, severely impact drive-ability and noticeably impact engine performance, cause undue wear and oil leaks to your engine or worse damage and failure of components or in the case of a diesel fitted with a DPF, you could actually be blocking your DPF. If you really want to go down the wormhole visit the following web address https://www.penriteoil.com.au//tech/Nov2015/Engine_Oils.pdf For the short version, visit Frontline Maintenance for your next service and have a discussion about what oils are suitable for your vehicle.
