22.01.2022 "Follow Me" was originally written on an acoustic guitar by Ally 6 years ago. Stu spent many months crafting the production around this simple acoustic idea. 21.01.2022 As you know back in April we released our debut EP Rising Tide. We wanted to give you a little insight into how each track came about starting with the title track Rising Tide. The production is heavily influenced by early Massive Attack in particular Mezzanine which resulted in dense layers with lots of hidden sounds that you can barely hear but add to the vibe of the track. Stu had just purchased a Moog Sub 37 and virtually all of the sounds you hear in this track ca...me from that synth. 15.01.2022 "Giving It Up" Back in January we released an acoustic version of this track that was a little impromptu performance Stu happened to capture. However this version expresses the intention of hope behind the song and we love it. 12.01.2022 Anyone is a track we wrote during lock down, and it was one of those rare "instant song" moments. All the synth sounds in this track come from a Moog One and the beat was created using a Moog Dfam. The track began, as many of our tracks do, as a series of loops. Ally overheard the loops coming from the studio and this instantly inspired the first two lyric lines and melody "Labouring endlessly, you could be anyone, you could be anyone, anyone" ... The track explores the monotony of the workaholic mentality that we all find ourselves and to emphasise this point we decided to make it a round. The lyrics repeat again and again but each time exploring a different intention. The feedback we got from the EP was that this was one of the favourites which taught us a valuable lesson - Don't over think it! https://open.spotify.com/track/3ty00gdegmypVnfLhUctNz
