22.01.2022 Yet another late model car towed in with no keys. It's no issue for us to make new keys from scratch, however it would have been much cheaper, and less hassle for our customer, if they'd had a spare key made BEFORE losing the only key!

18.01.2022 We see this often. Particularly when it’s a complete key with remote. Most of the world uses a different frequency for remotes than Australia, so when you buy a Chinese key it is probably designed for the bigger market - USA. Different frequency, and No, we can’t fix that. FT&T spends considerable time and money researching what does and doesn’t work. Then we spend big dollars to have these solutions available - Off The Shelf. ... More money is invested in machinery to cut and program your extra car key. The average car key ($149) is made using over $40,000 worth of equipment and years of experience - ultimately that is what you are paying for.

15.01.2022 A busy Easter weekend in beautiful Forster. Helped a customer yesterday who'd locked his keys in the boot of a late model BMW 5 series. What a beast of a job - took 6 hours! In the end we had to remove the door cylinder and make a mechanical key to open the boot. For some reason we could pick the door lock - but not the boot!

15.01.2022 FT&T are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper. The position is part time / Flexible hours. Position Commences January 2021. Our books are in the cloud with Quickbooks which allows this position to be a "work from home" position. There will be a requirement to visit the office at least once a week, but the bulk can be done remotely!... 14.01.2022 The post from the MLAA should act as a reminder to all "Professional" property managers. If a handyman fits an inappropriate lock to a unit door, and there's a terrible outcome (There's a fire and the door fails to open) the coroner won't be blaming the handyman. All fault will rest on the shoulders of the "professional" property manager who didn't obey the law. ... The property manager's insurance will be void because they broke the law, not just ignorance or a mistake. So all blame is the responsibility of the property manager who now loses their own home to cover legal costs - let alone living with the knowledge that they effectively killed someone by trying to save their landlord $5 !! Please check the "Security Industry Act, NSW".

09.01.2022 I think this is the most powerful graphic I’ve seen that really demonstrates the outcomes of Social Distancing. FT&T are following the advice of our Government and have closed our shops to walk in customers. All office staff are now operating from home and the technicians are only doing home visits. PLEASE NOTE - the road guys are being very very cautious with both their own hygiene, and the hygiene of our customers. If you are in Quarantine BECAUSE you have had contact w...ith a possible CV carrier, WE WILL NOT VISIT. If you are in Lockdown BECAUSE you have the sniffles, WE WILL NOT VISIT. During these trying times, FT&T staff are trying to do their best, sometimes their best may not seem acceptable to you - if so please have a look at this graph again. No one knows how to work through a Pandemic - we can only try our best. On a personal note: I’d like to thank my staff for a fantastic can do attitude.
