25.01.2022 Sensei Wayne has been busily making resources available for karateka to continue their training at home. These resources are on the Bellingen page. I encourage you to follow that page :-) https://www.facebook.com/Bellingen-Fuji-Karate-Club-1821996567816088/

24.01.2022 Toormina Fuji Karate has had a fabulous term 3, with karateka making terrific progress. We are currently on Holidays for two weeks, and are back first week of term 4. We currently have 5 openings for new members for term 4 ages 6-80. Please call or message to register your interest. Ouss. Sensei Angelle.

21.01.2022 We are back in one week, Thursday, 15/10. Training starts 5:30 sharp. Looking forward to seeing you all back in the dojo. Term fees can be paid via direct deposit to improve our covid-19 precautions. Details will be available at the dojo.

21.01.2022 If life was normal, we would be heading back to the dojo tonight. Sadly, while Australia has managed its pandemic response well showing promise for relaxation of restrictions, we are not out of the water yet. It is a wait and see. Missing you all and looking forward to seeing your smiling faces in the near-ish future.

20.01.2022 Hooray! We can commence karate classes first week of term 3, AND we have a new training day...Thursday . Hope to see you Thursday the 23rd of July at 5:30 at the Girl Guides Hall. We will ease into training nice and slow after such a long break.

14.01.2022 Sadly we will be closing Toormina Fuji Karate until NSW Health give us the go ahead to reopen. I urge all members to abide by the social distancing guidelines that have been put in place to reduce the spread of corona virus. Your actions will save lives. In the meantime, please continue to practice, especially your kata. Vary your focus between kata pattern, speed and power, or correct form. In these crazy times I would like to congratulate karateka who graded on Tuesday in a strange open air venue. Malia and Maddison: second kyu, intermediate brown belt; Elijah: third kyu, junior brown belt; Toran: fifth kyu, junior purple belt; Jessica: sixth kyu, green belt. Completing a successful grading in unfamiliar surroundings is worthy on an extra congratulations. Stay safe, Sensei Angelle

10.01.2022 We are nearly out of the woods. We are waiting to get the green light from Coffs Harbour City Council before we resume lessons at the dojo. If you haven’t been stretching, now would be a good time to start because all of this remote learning can stiffen our bodies. Looking forward to seeing you all in the near future.

09.01.2022 A big thank you to Sensei Wayne and Sensei Francesa for a terrific beach training today. It was challenging to train out of the dojo. The sand encourages strong stances. Adding the bo to our skill set was fun, and the methods taught should help to develop our dojo techniques.

09.01.2022 We are waiting patiently for our club be be allowed to re-open. Yesterday it was announced that kids sport can re-start as of the first of July (under 18 years). There is no indication of when adults can start back. We also need permission from Coffs Council to re-open the hall. I will be shouting the terrific news from the treetops when we finally get the go-ahead. I ask karateka to practice their kata and continue with their stretching to make the transition back to training as smooth as possible. Please see the link below for yesterdays media release. https://www.nsw.gov.au//gyms-and-kids-sports-to-reopen-acr

07.01.2022 Training is on this Thursday, 24th September for a cracker of end of term. See you there!

06.01.2022 Congratulations Richard and Malia: 1st kyu, Elijah: 2nd kyu, Jessica: purple belt, Grace and Lilly: orange belt. A terrific end to a crazy year. Well done team

05.01.2022 14 days until we are back in the dojo on our new training day...Thursday. Chances are we have lost a bit of polish over the extended break. This is to be expected, so be patient with yourself and the tarnish will give way to shine in no time. If you haven't done any stretching or practice, now it a great time to start. Here is a pic of Richard practicing kukomi on one of our beautiful Mid-North Coast beaches.

02.01.2022 Karate starts back tonight at 5:30. Please look after your fellow members by staying home if you are unwell. Please Sanitise your hands when you enter the dojo and write your name and contact number in the clip board folder. Sanitiser will be supplied. Remember your drink bottles. Looking forward to training with you tonight. Ous.
