17.01.2022 Ready for a furniture painting tip that will blow your mind? Here it is You only need to apply a primer to furniture if you've got a wood that is prone to bleeding (typically mahogany and Indonesian timber species) - then you apply a product like Polyseal as pictured. If you start and get some bleed-through, spot block with the Polyseal and carry on. Otherwise, you apply chalk paint straight away! 13.01.2022 Belt sanders. Wish I'd bought one earlier! Purchased from TradeTools , my fiance Joel is shown here demonstrating the Renegade speed adjustable belt sander on our console table. It removed the substrate of this 2 metre long pine console dead on 30 minutes using a 120 grit belt. I found it takes a little getting used to like any tool, and but has and will save me hours of labour using an orbital for the initial strip.... Hot tip be sure to use sawhorses that are the right height for you to use power tools on. You can buy height adjustable ones or use an adjustable stool. I have a bad lower back and I really feel it if I don't think about my posture while working on my flips.
