25.01.2022 Athletic performance and endurance is something that is worth talking about in the context of breathing . Breathlessness is one of the top factors limiting athletic performance. For a lot of people, it means that it doesn't matter how much they train, if they can't breathe efficiently during exercise, they can't perform any better, they simply plateau... If this resonates, get in touch to find out how you can breathe more efficiently (as well as analyse your breathing with capnometry). https://somnifix.com//snews/nose-breathing-athletic-perfor

23.01.2022 My clients and I love Munchee because it is such a simple tool to address so many health concerns and to help our children move closer to the best of their pre-determined genetic potential with lots of research to back it up Sharing this great post explaining how muscles of tongue, lips and cheeks dictate the growth and development of our heads and faces.

But when’s the last time you thought about how much you breathe?" - a simple reading friendly article on breathing. 17.01.2022 A fantastic talk by one of my mentors Jenae Ciuffreda on tonsils and adenoids . Simple explanation of how poor function can create and perpetuate the inflammation in the airway and create enlarged tonsils and adenoids, AND what can be done to address these problems. Thank you Jenae

16.01.2022 It has been long known that normal functional breathing is one of key factors in ensuring health-related quality of life "Hyperventilation is a condition in which arterial carbon dioxide (CO2) is eliminated excessively by respiration beyond the demands of metabolism, resulting in a wide range of symptoms. Hyperventilation is associated with a variety of pathological conditions, including respiratory and cardiovascular diseases and psychiatric disorders and can manifest with... breathlessness, dyspnea, light-headedness, anxiety, and paresthesia." The following study of young population in Korea found that reducing hyperventilation (thus normalising CO2) may improve physical and mental health-related quality of life. There is a way of measuring if your CO2 using Capnometry. It is easy way of seeing feedback about your breathing effectiveness. Get in touch if you would like to check this important aspect of your health https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6181383/

02.01.2022 I love Myospots and so do many of my clients! I choose "active treatment", where we can address the root cause of problems, rather than band-aid-type "passive" solutions

01.01.2022 Yesterday was a "tonsils day". All the kids that came into my office yesterday had huge tonsils. Is it a coincidence... or is it the Halloween? Sugar is one of the most inflammatory "foods" and guess what, it also makes the tonsils inflammed too! Sugar also feeds the biofilm (harmful bacteria) in the nose and throat area. Reducing inflammation and biofilm is key to the success of breathing and myofunctional therapy targeted at improving breathing and the health of nose and throat area.Do you or someone you know suffer from enlarged tonsils? Let them know there's help out there.
