With any chronic condition or issue, ALWAYS do your own research first before blindly accepting a sentence along with a routine symptom management plan in any category of health. Unfortunately, we don't know what we don't know so research is key and knowledge is power. There is always an alternate pathway to making improvements to your health and longevity. In the case of osteoporosis, this is merely one example health category of many out there.
23.01.2022 YOUR GUT HEALTH IS IMPERATIVE TO YOUR OVERALL WELLBEING - A MUST-READ: This article by Chris Kresser should be read by absolutely everybody because if you are not dealing with some form of gut problem, you will know someone who is. Having dealt with gut and biofilm issues myself and within my family for years and years, this article resonates with me in a big way and is also a great reminder of what to consider, what to remedy with and what else to consider when you have be...en on the journey a long time and can become slack, even though you still may have issues that are still very much there to be dealt with. Having dealt with gut issues for a long time has made me extremely passionate about helping others in my health coaching, by focusing on people's gut health, building their general health and wellness and also arming my clients with more compelling reasons to consider seeing their general health practitioners and naturopaths when they come up with multiple health concerns or strange illnesses that they often can not work out. Almost always it ends up leading back to the foundational health and what makes up the majority of your immune system - YOUR GUT. As long as you are a human being with a digestive tract, oral and sinus cavities in this day and age where we are surrounded by multiple toxins, environmental and other stressors, it is imperative we ALL become more aware of GUT HEALTH and how it applies to us, and our own story of life (i.e. the things in your life which may have affected your gut health) as the chances of experiencing an imbalance in your bacterial, fungal or yeast or biofilm ecology in your gut is pretty high! In our information-overloaded world, with so many different professional and personal opinions regarding what is "best" for you, the better off you are arming yourself with more knowledge to help you take control of your own health and wellbeing, so you know when you are actually getting good help, or when you are not and when to move on and keep searching. If you haven't found the answers you need yet keep searching and never give up. 20.01.2022 Many of us constantly talk about making changes. Change our lives, our bodies, our health... to make them better... We have wish lists that get bigger faster than they get smaller. We find some motivation then try to change too much too soon. If it doesn't work we start believing in our ability to fail. Our motivation plummets.... The problem is NOT YOU or your list, or you failing. You CAN have change you desire. You deserve it. The problem is trying to change too much, too soon at the time. The first step to being successful with change: >>> START WITH ONE THING AT A TIME <<< Manage your expectations, are they realistic, and do they align with your mindset and the challenges you may have in your life? Get good at ONE THING until it becomes a HABIT. Succeed! Then move onto your next change. >> REPEAT << Often trying to make too many changes too soon, can slow you down rather than speed up the change. BE KIND TO YOURSELF. BE REALISTIC. BE PATIENT. Create change, one habit at a time. Set yourself up for SUCCESS!
20.01.2022 This is an interesting article about "pulsing" your supplements intake (i.e. taking them more sometimes and less at other times). This article is by a contributor at Seeking Health which is a credible supplements company originally co-founded by Dr Ben Lynch, MTHFR & genetics specialist. Just note when taking this article's information on board that everyone's idea of understanding or reading your body is different so a sign or symptom to one person may be much more subtle o...r obvious compared with that of another person, depending on what is going on in their body, how aware and how intuitive they are. So please take care when making decisions about supplemental pulsing, and seek the advice of your trusted healthcare advisor(s). Also, don't just stick to your supplements regime for a very long time without getting yourself tested or discussing your regime with your healthcare advisor(s) as your body is an ever-evolving organism and this means that what you put into it or expose it to should evolve over time as well. Use this article as an opportunity to learn to understand how your body works or responds to different stimulus, even if it is a quest of becoming that little bit more aware each day. It takes time and can be a bit of an art to learn intuition like this (which applies to stimulus other than supplements as well, like what food you put in your mouth, or what goes on your skin). This is a great overview of the risks and effects of alcohol intake long-term, given our collective cultural attitude "more is better" when generally our intake is perhaps a little too much too often. ... This overview explains how alcohol affects your gut, your goals and your future and those cascading effects. And what too much actually is compared to what we have conditioned ourselves to believe this is. Even though its enjoyable to have a drink, it is also good to make mindful decisions about it, just as you would with other areas of your health, to look after yourself and consider how you want your future self to feel. If you consider yourself to be 'health-conscious' or wish you could be more like this then don't miss this. As I always say, how do you want to feel in 10-20 years time? What you do NOW is the pinnacle of making a difference to your future self. Don't assume major health decline won't happen to you if you don't take action now. 17.01.2022 'Going Keto' or more formally known as doing the Ketogenic Diet has become a popular option for many wanting to improve body composition (i.e. lose body fat) as well as to improve cognitive function, reduce disease state or chronic illness. I know I have personally used this method in the past (along with intermittent fasting) for various goals (including peak of chronic illness) and it has worked well. It is a fantastic option for many, however it is not always undertaken pr...operly, and doing it properly and committing 100% when you do it is KEY to this diet giving us the results that we aim for. Dr Lynch discusses in this article how the Keto diet should be undertaken and WHY it won't work if not done properly. He also discusses how scientific studies are often applied to ketogenic diets and why they are usually incorrect relative to their purpose (in this instance Dr Lynch discusses Alzheimer's). Speaking of Alzheimer's - I have the APOE4 gene variant he discusses, which runs in my family on my maternal side, which puts my sisters, my mother and I at a higher risk of developing Alzheimer's, so if we were to 'go Keto' at any time it's imperative particularly for us that we do it properly. Maybe same for you? Even if your goal with Keto is to drop body fat, if you find you don't do well on it and are perhaps not doing it 100% properly, then you absolutely need to read this article and watch the videos. The benefits, the dangers and its effect on oestrogen and testosterone levels in both men and women. ... It is like a debunking of the previous 'version' of myths about soy which have been circling the (social) media circuit now for years.
