25.01.2022 Prestige Funerals is an independent Australian Funeral Director. Servicing all areas. Prestige by name not price.

24.01.2022 Yesterday, Prestige Funerals, together with the family of Mr M, farewelled him with a "no fuss" kind of service, just as he would have wanted. He was a much loved family man, a highly respected and admired brother in Freemasonry, who has now been reunited with his wife, his sons and his siblings who have gone before him. Friends and loved ones and Masonic Brethren from around Melbourne and Australia watched his service via live-streaming as well as hearing beautiful tributes from his daughter and brother. Heartfelt thanks to Mr M's family for once again entrusting the care of one of your loved ones to us.

24.01.2022 We just had to share this......................

23.01.2022 During these times of social isolation & social distancing, we would like to reassure the families we serve, that during this difficult time, we at Prestige Funerals will do everything in our power to give your loved ones the farewell that they deserve and that you expect and obviously within the current guidelines that are in place right now. We would also like to advise you that your loved one will, at all times, be cared for by our fully qualified and very experienced embalmer.

22.01.2022 A busy few days at Prestige Funerals. Thank you to the Family of Mr RC, a small but meaningful tribute held in Melbourne before sending him home to the place of his infant nurture. Thankful that he was entrusted to our care.

22.01.2022 This is what I do, its even harder sometimes, because you own the business. Either the loved one, the family or both are known to you.

22.01.2022 They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.... Lest We Forget.

22.01.2022 Imagine this; just imagine, how it would feel to reach the incredible age of 97 and be surrounded with love your whole life, right until your final moment. This was the theme of the story that was told today as a very special family came together to farewell their much loved, respected and admired patriac. Rest peacefully Mr O...........

22.01.2022 So it's Father's Day today & we're thinking of all the Fathers & Father figures who have featured strongly in our lives. Usually our Fathers are the very first men we love & honour. So many people won't be able to spend Father's Day together today for so many reasons & we think of them with warmth & love, especially those who have entrusted these men into our care over the last year. If you are blessed to be able to spend today with your Father, treasure the blessing of being with him.

21.01.2022 Is an independent Australian owned Funeral Home servicing all areas of Melbourne and Surrounds. Prestige Funerals but not at a Prestige price.

21.01.2022 Tonight we reflect as we bring a much loved & special gentleman into our care. Sadly for his family, this is their second significant loss of a loved one in less than 4 months and we are proud & humbled that they are once again entrusting us with the care of a member of their family.......

21.01.2022 To the families who have entrusted their loved ones into our care this year, we just want to say that you are all very much in our thoughts this Christmas. We know this will be a difficult day for all of you, but we hope that you find some joy in your day. Acknowledging your missing loved ones at Christmas is very important too and we hope you are surrounded by love and care as you face this day without them. Love and respect Terry & Michele and the team at Prestige Funerals

17.01.2022 Today Prestige Funerals were honoured to assist the partner, nephew/Godson & closest friends of Mr D in farewelling him in a small, private, intimate & heart-warming ceremony. He was celebrated for his selflessness, his generosity to both his loved ones & the community, his friendship & his willingness to always go the extra mile for others. In different times, there would have been hundreds there to pay their respects, so with this in mind, a public memorial service will be held in the (hopefully) near future, with the continued assistance of Prestige Funerals RIP to my "brother" in Freemasonry. Our loss is great

06.01.2022 None of us want to face our own mortality but sometimes it pays to be practical. Maybe while we have extra time on our hands due to "Iso" it's worth taking the time to put pen to paper & recording your wishes. By doing this, you could save your loved ones a whole lot of angst at a time when they can certainly do without it.

04.01.2022 Here's a suggestion from a family we're looking after at the moment. It's a great idea & can save your family a lot of angst when the time comes for them to make your funeral arrangements "Due to recent circumstances Im now on a mission. Please everyone put together a little bundle of information that might be helpful to your family/friends if you should pass away. Birth/marriage certificates.... Will Any funeral requirements Titles/ mortgage information Bank accounts Insurance documents Centrelink information Gas/electricity/water/telephone account details Just to name a few. If this information is readily available it will assist those looking after your arrangements and will ensure you get what you want! Please consider this no matter your age or health."

04.01.2022 Prestige Funerals were honoured to assist the family of Mr A in farewelling their much loved "gentle giant" at Springvale Botanical Cemetery today, with a Chapel service after which, he was laid to rest in a beautiful monumental area of the cemetery. Prior to the funeral there had been a continuous downpour of rain, so we all sent up a prayer to Mr A asking him to stop the rain, at least while we were at the graveside and stop it, he did. The sun came out and shone down on all of us. The tributes from your loving family are a testament to the man that you were and always will be. You will be missed more than words can tell.
