20.01.2022 Wow what an emotional few days its been. 1st Place For those of you who dont know I have some amazingly talented and supportive painty peeps as friends. F...riday just gone a few of us participated in the inaugural Wonders of WA Body Art Competition at Hotel Clipper in Rockingham. It was heads down bum up from 9am until they called brushes down at 5pm, only then did I get a chance to take a good look around the room. The quality of work surrounding me was amazing!!!, each and every artist had totally outdone themselves. So when the announcements were made at the end of the night no one was more shocked than me to hear my name called out as the 1st place winner. But as you all know I wouldnt have an art form without a body to paint. Therefore I am going to start my THANK YOUs with the gorgeous Caitlin Gerken, I couldnt have done this without you. Thank you for being a gem to paint and for bringing my inspiration to life, this win is as much yours as it is mine. Secondly I would like to congratulate some of those talented and supportive painty peep friends I was talking about earlier. I absolutely loved all of these beautiful designs. 2nd place Kyla Morgan 3rd place Raelene Simpson Peoples Choice Lindy Van Tuil Thirdly a huge THANK YOU goes out to Hotel Clipper for being the hostess with the mostess. An awesome night that ran like clockwork thanks to Cheryle and her amazing staff. If you havent guessed by now the event was a megga huge success of which everyone (including myself) are looking forward to again next year. Growing up in the wheatbelt you wake up every morning to the sound of pink and grey galahs instead of an alarm clock, go to sleep to the deafening silent nights under breathtakingly beautiful starry skys and have gorgeous native flowers scatter the natural bush instead of manicured gardens. The first rain of the season brings the bush to life with smells of eucalyptus and freshly turned earth with paddocks slowly changing over time from a sea of green to waves of gold as the heat sets in again. The wheatbelt is a beautiful part of this state to visit were you have time to stop and smell the flowers

I cant stop looking at myself... I look so beautiful, I really love the glitter!!!
