25.01.2022 Over the last couple of weeks I have been working away on this lovely piece of furniture for a return customer. It has some beautiful decorative work on it, alittle hard to see in the photo. This piece is transforming from black to antique white, no mean task! It will sit amongst lovely linens and whites and with touches of bright gold it will rule the room. Stay posted for the final act!
23.01.2022 Managed to finally finish my dear deer chair! Love this fabric and I was lucky to find some lovely burlap trim which adds to that country manor feel. Some white and black wax to decorative areas to add some character and its all finished. It now sits against a lovely ladys lemon coloured wall!

19.01.2022 Have just finished something alittle different to mix it up. Ive had this beautiful old vintage frame with some lovely detail on it, just begging for some tizzying up. Ive painted the frame in French Linen, a nice muted green grey, then added some white to the decorative mouldings. I thought this frame needed a "sea change" and so decided it could have another life as a beautiful pin board. A lovely piece of linen fabric and viola, the perfect classy addition to your office space. Sold to a delighted customer!

18.01.2022 Little rustic coffee table. Simple job I thought. Never realised how hard it would be to strip lacquer and red stain back to natural timber. I am happy with how this white wash and rub back technique has now come up though, complemented by a rich black Porters paint to the table base. Some light distressing and a good coat of wax.Very sturdy and a useful size. H41cmxW76cmxD45cm. I do like my duck! For sale $80.

These lovely Queen Anne bedsides have a classic beauty that allows them to adapt to the modern home.The soft, subtle , natural colours of chalk and mineral paints team well with most modern colour schemes. 13.01.2022 Lockdown has had some advantages.I have been busy and finally finished repainting my bedroom suite. It is quite a plain suite dating back to the early eighties, sturdy and provides a great amount of storage. So a revamp seemed a better option than replacement. I had previously painted it in ASCP French Linen, but thought a soft white would be a fresh change. After four coats of white with sanding In between coats, two coats of sealer and then two coats of wax for durability the jobs finally done. Vintage pull handles were added by hubby and this is the finished project.......phew!!

Very sad and sorry but amazing what a transformation can be achieved with abit or should I say a lot of hard work. You just have to be able to see past the dust, the cobwebs, the stickers and scratches. Black chalk paint with sage green contrast has certainly cheered this little desk up. Decoupaged compartments inside add a pretty touch. Now just waiting for someone who has the perfect "nook waiting. Very sturdy. For sale.

07.01.2022 I always enjoy up cycling these cute chairs, even though they can be a challenge sometimes. This bowl backed chair was in good condition to start with which makes the job more pleasurable. I have gone for abit of a retro vintage feel with the overall look. The upholstery is abit out there, without being too gaudy. Dusty pink chalk paint with lots of antique glaze softens the pink and gives the colour tones of mauve. Not a large chair, standing H86cmxH43cm to centre of seat. A lovely little accent chair or bedroom/walk in robe chair. For sale $175.
