24.01.2022 So... You've decided to book in your photoshoot! Great! But, now comes another big decision, what location to pick! Don't worry, we're here to help. When picking your location we recommend you ask yourself these 4 questions! (Tip: just pick the first thing that comes to mind! ) 1. Which location/setting do you and your dog feel the happiest and most relaxed in?... 2. What is the first place that comes to mind when you think about bringing your dog out on the weekend? 3. Is there any place that you have any emotional attachment to? (eg. the place you and your partner got married) 4. Picture a few portraits hanging on your wall, where are these photos taken in? 17.01.2022 Early mornings are often a struggle and their's nothing worse than believing you've got a lovely sleep in than to have it interrupted by nails scratching at your door or paws trotting over you! This is unfortunately a struggle that many of our Cats are family members deal with including @hamishandpancho, @adventures_ofjoeyandlexi, @shyandautumn and @bruce_and_clark_the_kittens! Thankfully we've managed to push this early wake up call from our cats back a bit with a few... clever tactics! 1. Because I have 3 cats I've introduced microchip feeders so that they know they can get food at any time and aren't reliant on us. 2. I make sure to play with them before I go to bed to get out a bit more of their energy. 3. When I open the door in the morning I make sure not to replenish their food straight away so they aren't rewarded for any pestering. Do you have any other tips that have helped your cat family?

We started the Cats are family campaign last year just when lockdown began in February 2020. It's been SO INCREDIBLE to see it expand to share and 75 cat family stories from families around the world. ... As we look to tweak, redesign and definitely get the CAF campaign running again in the future, we'd love for all of you to continue to stay in touch! 10.01.2022 We believe that animals have learnt to communicate with their human families in their own way. We see this displayed in our homes and at ALL our Pet Family photo shoots. My (Helena) dog knows exactly how to tell me what she wants! What she wants she gets! (most of the time ) Whether it's a ball that's stuck under the couch or a bit of extra wet food she will either cry or nudge us in the right direction. My (Keefe) cats, Chai, Thyme and Evan all have their unique ways to ...tell us what they want too! Thyme is the most vocal, she cries in the exact same frequency as a human baby that pulls at our heartstrings. She does this when it's food and play time. Chai will head butt us to indicate that we need to give him something (it's usually pats). Evan is a mixture of both! He cries in the morning using his "ugly meow" and rubs his whole body on our legs to tell us what he wants. It's the best part about being a Pet Photographer... seeing the unique relationships that pets have with us. Isn't it incredible how animals communicate with us in their own learnt way! How does your / tell you what they want?

09.01.2022 The American election is finally over! We want to know what law your pet would put in place if they were running for president! Whether it's extra treats every day or they can roll in the mud as much as they like! What would your pet do? I know my dogs (Star ) first decree would be to make it so that dogs are allowed everywhere and anywhere! We understand that 2020 has been a difficult time for many and we want to do our part to spread joy this Christmas.... Our team has seen the positive impact of events like this - families who are able to capture happy memories together every year. Charities that we can help through donations from this event. But, we're dedicated to keeping our team, Santa, his elves and all that show up for this event safe.
