23.01.2022 ~Pregnancy and exercise~ I’d like to start a discussion about how you handle exercise while you were pregnant? Were you not able to exercise at all? Were you able to exercise right to the end?... How did you find exercising during pregnancy? What was your favourite exercise during pregnancy? Although this is my fourth baby, I never exercised through my last pregnancy’s. Why? Because I wasn’t in a place where I put exercise as a priority, I was quite over weight and you get told over and over don’t start anything new when you’re pregnant. So I didn’t, even though I knew walking was allowed and extremely beneficial..... I preferred donuts and maybe I still do you’ll never know. However, this time around it’s the opposite! I now have to learn to pull back and that’s really hard for me. After 3 years of consistent training where I’ve been building my fitness up and changing my mental state to enjoy the challenge and now I need to change that again and do whats suitable for my body. And that’s where I struggle- the mental stuff. Have I pulled back enough? Have I pulled back too much? What’s the point if I don’t break a sweat? Am I being careful enough? I’m getting there and making sure I listen to my body and about 90% of what my trainer says! Tell me your experiences. My husband thinks he is funny. Maybe he is a little funny. Jayme

22.01.2022 I believe in easing people into exercise gently. We work together every session to get you that one step closer to your goals. Im not about yelling and pushing you to a place where you’re going to throw up and die. Now, in saying that, once you’re ‘eased in’ and ready, the fun begins! ... A few of my ‘eased in’ people got new programs this week and from the amount of messages I have received over the last 24 hours it would seem they are having a LOT of fun.... Jayme

22.01.2022 SNACK TIME! I have been asked lots about snacky food that are easy and healthy because face it, most of us are already time poor! Something that is easy for me and my kids - because when the kids eat it too, that’s a bonus! Rice cakes, topped with whatever goodness you want to put on them. ... Peanut butter Avocado Cheese and tomato Go crazy, let your imagination run wild One of my favourites at the moment is peanut butter with either blueberries or banana... little bit obsessed. Also don’t forgot how easy it is to grab a piece of fruit or veg. Not everything needs to be make or created. Sometimes the best option is to just get it into your body rather than stressing about it. How easy is a banana to grab and eat? Or an apple, capsicum, celery? Simple is best! Jayme

20.01.2022 I don’t meal prep in the ‘traditional’ way. The thought of eating the same thing every meal for a week makes me feel sick. BUT I do like to make things easier for myself when I can. Whether that be chopping up some veg for the entire day and sticking it in the fridge so all I have to do is add some protein or making enough wraps for a few meals and having the option to have them toasted or fresh. ... Small things that help me time wise but also helps with the mental battles.

19.01.2022 I prep this the night before and chuck it in the oven in the morning for 15 minutes! 2 large field mushrooms filled with Tomato... Capsicum Celery Spinach Onion Garlic All chopped up super small and stuffed in the mushroom. Tip: you can fit extra veg into the mushroom if you fry it up for a minute or 2

19.01.2022 What do the group training sessions look like? What exercises do they include? I program a bunch of mixed exercises chucked together which will include things like Strength training with weights - exercises to help strengthen your muscles and burn more calories!... Body weight exercises - pushups, core exercises ect Cardio - some exercises to really get your heart rate up. I combine all these things into one session so you get the benefits of all the different types of training. Each session is based on your own fitness level, which means it’s all about what your body is able to do now not about other peoples fitness levels. Next lot of 12 week group sessions are starting up soon! Message for more information or to book your spot. Jayme

16.01.2022 What is it that you want to achieve? What are you goals? Are your goals actually important enough or are they just nice thoughts?... Do they mean enough to you that you are willing to make changes to reach them? Questions I need to ask myself every time I set a goal. If it’s not important enough, I simply won’t make the necessary changes. I have a goal of passing an upcoming training module end of April. It is super important to me to achieve a pass. I have made a commitment of no more alcohol until after module and I need to start training in a way that will lead me to success. This module means enough that I want to make the changes. These are not hard changes to make because I have something worth making changes for. Jayme

16.01.2022 One of the best things about the weather getting cooler is SOUP! I make up a massive base with pumpkin, sweet potato, cauliflower and broccoli topped with water then I get to play with flavours. Once boiled, I’ll separate it into separate containers and then add what I feel like for that day. ... One I will add leek, celery and lentils. One I’ll eat as is. Whatever I want, so I don’t feel like I’m eating the same thing over and over.

16.01.2022 Sorry for the lack of posts over the last few months! I’ve been dealing with life and the curve balls it throws, like the fact I’m 18 weeks pregnant with my FOURTH little girl! I won’t be taking on any new clients at this time but I’d still love to have lots of interaction through this page. ... My goal with this FB page is to create our own little safe community where we can ask questions and give our own experiences about exercise, food (nutrition), kids and all the things that come with life! I love hearing your experiences! Especially because something simple that works for you whether it be a recipe, a quote or a stress reliever ect, it can give inspiration to others including myself. I feel like we could all use a little inspiration from each other Jayme

12.01.2022 Building strength, both mentally and physically, creating a happier lifestyle, changing daily habits in the easiest way for YOU, health and kindness: these are all things I believe in. I’m not about yelling, screaming and pushing you to a place where you feel like you’re going to be sick, hate your life and never want to come back (well, not every session will be like that anyway ). I want to help people understand that not all trainers are sergeants. Some of us actually c...are, and want to bring you into the world of exercising in the best way possible, for you, no matter where your fitness level is, when you decide to start your journey. Pushing someone to breaking point is actually quite easy, if I’m being honest. However, building someone up to where they feel strong, happy, committed and fit - that’s where the challenge is, and that’s what I love doing. Nothing makes me happier than helping people create a happy healthy lifestyle. Jayme

09.01.2022 Yesterday I was hot, hangry and time poor. This made me happy and took under 5 minutes to put together!

08.01.2022 This popped up in my newsfeed and it made me smile. There’s something to be happy about. There’s something to be grateful for. There’s a reason to smile. ... If you look for it. Why would you want to see the negatives when you could see the positives and smile!! Jayme

08.01.2022 Excuses, excuses, EXCUSES... We all make them! How many times a day, a week, a month or even a year, do you create excuses for yourself? How many times have you said next Monday I’m starting my new diet and then that Monday comes around, and you find an excuse to delay starting?! Do any of these sound familiar?... - It’s my birthday so I want to be able to celebrate - So and so is leaving so we’re having a farewell party - I’ve got a work do and want to enjoy myself - The kids are being assholes - I just can’t be bothered How many times have you made a decision to eliminate something from your life, but then you screw yourself over and find an excuse to bring it back into your world? Alcohol, take-away food, desserts for example; these are just a few of the most common things that make us flip-flop on our choices. How many promises have you made to yourself about starting to exercise on a regular basis, but then you don’t follow through on them? Have you ever heard yourself say any of these things? - I had to work late and then I was exhausted once I got home - The kids were acting up and it was all just too much - I don’t have the money for it right now, but how about we have take-away again, for the 3rd time this week I’m not a trainer that has no idea about the constant daily struggles. I’ve been there and I’ve done that, I’m STILL doing it!!! Stop playing mental games with yourself and just start small. You don’t need a Monday to start anything... It’s a coincidence it’s a Monday today Jayme

08.01.2022 Meal prep is not something I do often. Eating the same thing every meal for days sounds repulsive to me BUT this week I have been required to do some meal prep. I prepared 4 days worth of food and I have to say it has definitely made things easier. No thought process over what to eat has been amazing. ... Two different types of salad and two soups.

06.01.2022 I’m addicted to these things. I don’t know what it is about using a bowl instead of a plate .... I think a plate needs structure and there’s a place for everything but with these bowls I feel like I have the freedom to put whatever I want in them, even foods I haven’t had in ages, I can be adventurous! It’s amusing to me how the mind and ingrained patterns trick us into thinking there’s only one way things can be done. ... Jayme

05.01.2022 Over the past few weeks I have been in a mood with my body. I have been angry, annoyed, frustrated and feeling a little defeated. I have stopped drinking alcohol. I have stopped drinking coffee. ... I have limited the ‘bad’ things. I haven’t skipped meals and every meal has been filled with the ‘good’ things. I continue to train and continue to teach my classes. Every morning I wake up, weigh myself and EXPECT to see a change in the scales. I do the right things, I want to see results. Now. I’m not seeing the results I want to see. The Personal Trainer goes out the window and off I go on the crazy train. My mind runs wild and that’s when the whirlwind of emotions storm through. What? Why? How? What’s wrong? This is how I’ve lived my life for the last three weeks. Everyday. Fucking exhausting. Something I have been working on is self love and apart of that includes stopping negative thoughts in their tracks and changing it to a positive one. In one of my rampages to myself, I thought something extremely negative about my body and then I got angry. Extremely angry. Not angry at my body but angry at my mind, angry at myself. What am I doing? Why have I waged war on my body? Why have I allowed myself to get SO down? So, I changed my habits for 3 weeks, THREE WEEKS and expected results.... for years I have abused my body put it through absolute shit, bingeing on food and alcohol, gaining and losing weight. The amount of stress I put my body through is unbelievable, the mental stress of being a nut job and the physical stress of exercise ... yet my body keeps moving, keeps doing its thing. And that’s when it clicked. My body has my back and I need to have my body’s back. If I keep doing what I need to do the results will come and I need to learn some fucking patience I think it’s time to be grateful and smile! P.S sorry to my trainer who has coped an abundance of messages during my ‘crazy’ period

03.01.2022 First lot of Group Training is nearly here (not to late to book a spot) which means the second lot is going to start up soon! I have received a lot of enquires for afternoon training. Currently looking at who would be interested in: ... Monday’s 4:00pm & Thursday’s 4:00pm Register your interest by sending a message or commenting below! Jayme

03.01.2022 Self love I don’t know about you, but self love is something I cringe at. Why is it so hard to LOVE or say positive things about yourself???... This is something that my own trainer has been working on with some of her clients, including myself, and she has shared some pretty interesting things, that really make me wonder and question why I am so very brutal to myself. There are things I have thought about, and even said to, myself that I would never EVER say to anyone else, so why is it ok for me to say or think it about me? The truth is, it’s not!!! Self love and kindness is something I will be working on, well honestly, probably forever, but something I will really be focusing on, over the next couple of months especially. It’s the little things that make the most difference, so start with simple, small things... * Saying something positive to yourself daily. * Putting an end to the negative thoughts and reminding yourself that if I wouldn’t say it to someone else, it’s not ok to say to myself. * Breathing more. By doing these little things, I’m giving myself a chance to reset my mind, so I can be both a better mum to my girls and a better trainer to my clients, and focus on what’s really important. One thing I have decided to do recently is put my kids in crèche a couple of times a week and go for a walk on the treadmill for 20-30 minutes. This is not necessarily for a workout, but to read or listen to music, just zone out from all the stresses in my life and breathe. Jayme

02.01.2022 Breakfast! Someone recently asked me quite confused, How do I add in extra veg during the day?... Just like that This is my breakfast and all I do is add some protein. Once we get out of the mind set that certain foods are meant for certain times of the day, food choices can become easier and less limited.
