24.01.2022 Ok, this is pretty rough, but just a bit more to explain the idea of the video message project that you can be part of at 4pm today (Friday 25th). It's in support of students who are striking for climate action and the National Day of Action where people of all ages are asked to join and support the School Strike 4 Climate movement to ask that the Government #FundOurFutureNotGas
24.01.2022 At 4pm, tomorrow (Friday 25th) come down to Andrew Gee's office, sit in the armchair outside and record your 30 second (or less!) video to tell him what you need him to do to ensure the government #FundOurFutureNotGas. All videos will be collated into a montage to present to him, so that he has a clear message about what Calare wants in terms of climate, energy policies and any others that people want to mention. 21.01.2022 We need big batteries everywhere..... South Australia is home to the biggest battery in the world - and guess what? It's about to get 50% BIGGER! SA's Energy Minister says the existing battery has delivered $150 million in savings in its first two years of operation. And he expects the savings will continue to grow.

18.01.2022 Should have done this long ago but in protest to its continuing investment in expanding fossil fuel projects, I just transferred my business account from NAB to Bank Australia. Whole process took 11 minutes. Australias four major banks (NAB, ANZ, CBA, Westpac) collectively have provided $7 BILLION to fossil fuel projects since the Paris Agreement was signed (which they have all agreed to support.) Bank Australia expressly does not lend to fossil fuel projects and was the first bank in the world to sign up to all 7 goals under the "We Mean Business" climate leadership platform. Could you imagine how many of these programs could be funded with the $18 billion currently planned to be wasted on declining industries like gas in the Government's "Technology Roadmap" (to nowhere.) 11.01.2022 A while ago I suggested changing your super to Future Super (or Australian Ethical or Verve) since they don't invest in fossil fuels. Superannuation funds are huge investors so the more that divest from fossil fuels, the sooner we'll have a chance at a safe and viable future. Just because we have always done things a certain way, doesn't mean we can't try others. No one thing is the solution, we need to try many things all at the same time. No time to argue about it.
