23.01.2022 Just a little reminder of what real makeup looks like without retouch and filters. Yes it creases, yes it moves. Because thats what makeup does. People have p...ores, they sweat, they talk, they smile and they laugh. Skin lives. Makeup will heat up and move. No it does not cover everything or make imperfections disappear like magic. There will always be fine lines , wrinkles, eye bags, scars, pimples. Yes theres a limit to what you can do. I know the pressure is hard with social medias. I know clients have such high expectations nowadays because they are bombarded with perfect images that arent realistic. This is my annual post to remind you that you are a good makeup artist. I had to talk to myself more than a few times because I was comparing my work to what people posted and I didnt understand why I could never get it to look so perfect. We absolutely have to stop doing that. First its not reality. 2nd this is the best way to kill our confidence and our creativity. Stop comparing yourself to unrealistic goals and spend that time working on your craft. Were all doing our best and our best is good enough. (Ps. 10.01.2022 What is airbrushing? Airbrushing is a professional makeup technique of applying makeup. It uses a small machine (think of a miniature spray tan machine) which combines air pressure and makeup product to create a fine mist which is applied in light layers to the face. Airbrushing has a flawless, second skin appearance. It is excellent coverage, long wearing (12+ hours), sweat/tear/rain resistant, comfortable (it feels like you are wearing nothing), suitable for most skin types.... The application is relaxing, and a great treat for bridal parties, or a special occasion. If you have never had airbrushing before- it totally lives up to the hype! I trained in airbrushing in 2015 during my makeup diploma at the National Academy of Beauty, and it has become my preferred method of applying makeup, because the results far out weight results of conventional makeup. This is similar to the way I work, using enhancing techniques rather then piling heaps of product on the face and masking your features.
