Students develop their knowledge and understanding about how Allah SWT is the Kindest and Merciful. He who created us guided us towards everything and counts our daily inwards and outwards actions and words as worship as well. 17.01.2022 Community Engagement: Year 2 students organised a second-hand book sale on Friday, 6th November of 2020 for junior primary students. It was an opportunity for students to learn about handling money. It also provided a chance for the rest of the students to explore and own a treasure of books. All money collected will be donated to Believe You Can Foundation. It is a not for profit organisation run from Australia. They are passionate about education and their mission is to support and provide education to underprivileged communities, starting with Cambodia and eventually working worldwide

15.01.2022 The Year 11 Psychology class participated in an experiment to study the various effects of caffeine on the human body. Each student consumed a beverage containing either 0mg, 50mg or 100mg of caffeine. Students then completed various tests to measure the effects of the caffeine on their heart rate, thinking ability, mood, and energy levels. Students find this experiment fun and engaging each year, and always enjoy guessing whether they have consumed caffeine. Students sometimes report feeling more hyper after consuming their beverage and are then surprised to hear that they in fact have not consumed any caffeine. Miss Patrese Tilley

13.01.2022 3A students were very busy celebrating Book Week 2020 with the theme ‘Curious Creatures, Wild Minds’. We started off the week working on book reviews of our class novel, Matilda by Roald Dahl. We also participated in the Book Week Assembly showcasing our own versions of book covers for Matilda and of course, our beautiful book character costumes. We ended off the week with a Reading Picnic where we had fun reading our favourite books whilst we nibbled away on our lunches. ... Thank you 3A students for recognising the importance of reading in your lives and a big thank you to the Admin team for our lovely bookmarks!

13.01.2022 At Garden College we believe it's important to Teach our Students about contemporary issues that we are all facing in a challenging world "Online". It is through stories and active role-play that we were able to secure a live performance by Brainstorm Productions on 'Cyberia'. The Performance was aimed at educating our teenagers on our moral compass online, the stigma associated with Mental Health and encourages positive relationships and help-seeking. Have a look at some of the photo's to get a glimpse of the Cyberia Performance at Elizabeth Campus!

11.01.2022 The Spectacular Year 4 Have a look at what we have been learning in our classroom this term! Numeracy:... In reading we have been looking at various reading strategies, as well as taking part in our CARS and STARS program. HASS: In HASS we have been exploring the different environments around us. We are currently focusing on the Desert and learning all about the various vegetation and animals that live there. Science: This term our focus for Science is Biological Sciences, we are currently learning about the importance of the Cassowary in the Daintree Rainforest. We will be integrating our Science with our Writing to research the life cycle of the amazing bird, the Cassowary. Art: In Art we recently created Mandalas. 05.01.2022 "A picture is worth a thousand words" is an English language adage meaning that sometimes multiple ideas can be conveyed by a single still image, which conveys its meaning or essence more effectively than a mere verbal description. So here we are in the last term to share our achievements, Book Week, Dress-up parade, writing Book Reviews, reading, making 3D shapes and more. Here are some happy moments of our activities. Regards,... Mrs Mandsorwala Year 1B
