24.01.2022 Sandras beautiful night blooming jasmine (Cestrum Nocturnum) is blooming profusely right now, with the sensational perfume filling her house. Staying home has upsides: time to soak up your plants/garden & the birds, bees & other critters that inhabit your place.
23.01.2022 Can anyone identify this eucalyptus for Linda? It’s growing in her yard at Nannup. All help welcome.
21.01.2022 There was plenty to see in Kings Park yesterday & ample room to maintain social distancing.
21.01.2022 Clivias are enjoying a resurgence in popularity. Whether pronounced Clive+ia or Cliv+ia, this almost unkillable plant is fashionable worldwide: Japan, the US, Europe, China, South Africa, NZ & Australia. As well as the usual orange flowers, there are new colours, colour combinations & leaf forms. They’ll grow from Tasmania to the tropics in Oz.
21.01.2022 Clivia hybrids are the plant to relish this week. Theyre bold & beautiful, colourful, easy-care, with strappy leaves, stunning in flower & great in dry shady spots. Just watch out for the slugs who love them too!
20.01.2022 Are you up for a verge show & tell? Ill go first as I love the way these colourful everlastings transform my otherwise drab mulched verge. Please either post your photos - or send them to me - message or email - & Ill post them for you ([email protected])
19.01.2022 Pretty as a picture & growing happily in a northern suburb on the sandy coastal plain. Pincushion Protea are low maintenance, with long lasting blooms, are drought resistant & like warm climates. Sadly they’re short lived, approx 8 years, but provide the wow factor during this time.

19.01.2022 The urban bush land areas are flaunting patches of stunning colour. Theyre worth a visit as you can get a gardening/bush fix, some exercise & fresh air, & can maintain social distancing without an effort.
19.01.2022 Wouldnt it be nice if we could travel Out to see the wildflowers in the spring? And see plants like this Verticordia That are growing near Gingin?
18.01.2022 If you could plant one more tree at your place, what would it be? A fruit tree to eat the produce, a flowering tree to attract bees, a deciduous one for the colour, a dwarf variety for your balcony or courtyard, or something else? Consider this before National Garden Week - 11-17 Oct ( weve been encouraged to plant a tree) & let us know your choice.
18.01.2022 Enjoy your garden. Stay safe. Will be updating you re Circle plans. Whats blooming at your place? I have this Grevillea Moonlight.

16.01.2022 Sunflowers - cheerful & happy flowers, valued for their charm, seeds & oil. Although late in the season, I’ve been asked if any ‘Circle’ people have or know of a sunflower field. Please follow-up with a comment if you can help. Thank you.
16.01.2022 A handful of circle members helped with weeding & mulching in two areas of the Inglewood Triangle as a National Garden Week activity. The before (Oct 2019) & after (Feb 2020) photos show the difference this made & how the seedlings are progressing four months later. A precedent for involvement in community projects was established in the late 1990s when Circle members helped at numerous venues: a wellness centre (1999), a hospice (2000), a drug & alcohol rehab centre (2001) & primary school (2003). BTW do you recognise the backside on display in the before shot?

14.01.2022 Today is National Wattle day, and here are the lovely pom poms of Acacia pulchella (Prickly Moses) now flowering in the Triangle Apparently, Wattle Day should... be a "simple, sentimental and uncomplicated occasion", so when the rain stops, why not take a stroll in Ingelwood Triangle, or join us for one of the planned Spring walks https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/117265912501 See more
13.01.2022 It is a great year for Grass Trees, & Ruth captured aspects of these stately beauties at a reserve in Greenwood, including a hover fly & bee enjoying the flowers along the impressive spikes.
